This puto kutsinta is one of my favorite kakanin since childhood until now.
When I went to the supermarket this morning, I saw this displayed in one of the kiosks/stalls in the area.
Flashing back then, during my childhood days, its an early morning alarm clock in our barrio, that somebody is shouting “Taho.. Taho..Kutshinta” with matching “potpot sound” coming from the vendor.
If my mother has money we can buy, if none, sorry no puto kutsinta for that day. So sad...
This kakanin is made of glutinous flour mixed brown sugar, rice flour, lye water and food coloring (optional).
Of course you need to have grated old coconut meat as toppings or you may opt for cheese.
But for me, grated coconut is best toppings.
I bought one plastic with 5 pieces kutsinta at Php 10 per pack.
Just sharing this experience this morning my dear steemians!
Thanks for the time reading it! @ladyrai
