On January 18th of this new year myself and Canadian Producer/Musician/Singer/Songwriter @wav-dr Wav-Dr.  released our full length 13 track fusion experimental album to the world.   The connection was made through blockchain music site Choon and the album promoted through blockchain sites such as Choon, Musicoin, Steemit, Dsound, and DTube along side other social media and content outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud and YouTube.

" Well, here’s something interesting for a change. Wav-Legion  is a collaborative effort from (as the title alludes to) Canadian  producer, musician, singer-songwriter, “Wav-Dr.,” and California  singer-songwriter, “Bonnie Legion.” The album was made over a seven week  period after first connecting on the blockchain music site “Choon”  (which admittedly I had never heard of until now.) 

Comprised of 13 distinct tracks, Wav-Legion offers an eclectic mix of  electronic music fused with a variety of musical elements from other  genres. The songs often feature a subtly dark electronic backing, though  the actual beat style varies widely from song to song. To give you an  example of the kind of fusion we see here, the track heavyweight  combines a Terminator style retro electro synthbeat with groovy twists,  excellent lounge-like female vocals with accents of trip hop and pop.  It’s also a duet where the Wav-Dr has vocal parts as well, delivered in a  casual yet effectively hypnotic demeanor. This is a true experimental  album. People without appreciation for the avant garde will not know  what to make of it. That’s okay, the talent and quality of display here  make this music appealing to almost anyone, even if the listeners don’t  take full advantage of the deeper meditative forces at work here. "

" Wav-Legion is comprised of 13 incredible tracks where they use genres, such as Pop, Rock and Alternative. The album opens with groovy composition called Heavy Weight which, in my opinion, is a great choice for the album opener. Starting with the guitars, it brings even Spanish vibes. The composition is followed by Afraid of the Dark - upbeat tune where the band uses such effects as harmonical backing vocals, which make this song much more interesting. It's very ethereal and the song sounds minimalistic in general. The third track - They Attack - starts with drum beat and additionally with bass guitar: this song literally makes us feel the whole mood of the album. Meaningful lyrics performed by the beautiful vocals made this song one of my favorites on the record, as well as Haunt, where band's voices sound amazing together. The next song, Slow Burn, impressed me with its dynamics: it brought me vibes of pop of the past century. It will definitely make listeners move and even sing along. Perfect, which is also one of my favorites from the album, is an easily memorable song: catchy melodies and beautifully performed chorus are the best parts of this song. Exhale, the 8th song on the tracklist, has synth/electronic vibes, which makes it more interesting and unique than other songs on the record. Temperature Drop will definitely make listeners move because of its dynamics. Starting with drums and additionally developing into the dance track, this song brings me real vibes. Fast singing is impressing, which we can also hear in the next song, Bees to Honey. The acoustically touched song Zen Moment, as well as SpeechLess and Sweet Dreams, surprises listeners with the contrast of acoustic and pop parts. These reflective and meaningful songs are the ones that help you to dive into thoughts after a hard day: even though they are upbeat, the lyrics is deep. Black Typhoon - the song which closes the album - is such a catchy track which will definitely stay in head for a long time, especially chorus.

To sum up, everything in Wav-Legion comes together in a stream of consciousness style. This is unforgettable journey into the mix of alternative music and meaningful lines in one piece.   "

"Wav-Legion is a collaborative album made by independent  artists Wav-Dr. and Shavon Bonnie Legion, which is, among other things,  showing the world how powerful underground musicians can be when working  together. Wav-Dr. is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and producer and  Shavon Bonnie Legion is a singer/songwriter from California. The pair  connected on the Blockchain music site Choon and made this record in  only seven weeks, which is a pretty brisk pace for new partners.  Nevertheless, they crafted 13 original songs that exist in a fusion of  Electronic, Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, and other styles that are all mentally  and musically stimulating. The sound is lush, unique, and  thought-provoking, with a hypnotic, cinematic vibe that immediately gets  attention.  

The core of tracks like “Heavy Weight,” the album’s opener, is  electronic and modern, with an almost cyberpunk sensibility that  positively drips intrigue. A throbbing synth bass acts as the  foundational heart of the song and gets topped with male and female  vocals, tastefully exotic clean tone guitar, and a promise to “scramble  your eggs in the moonlight.” The dark, 3 AM feel continues on “They  Attack,” and the results are just as brilliant. Wav and Legion excel at  creating atmosphere and these tracks hold listeners rapt while still  maintaining a great deal of open air. In fact, their  not-quite-minimalist use of negative space is one of the most attractive  things about this collaboration and leaves plenty of room for the  listener to crawl inside.  

“Slow Burn” is a more driving song that would be straight rock music  if it were rendered with only guitar sounds. As it is, it’s a pounding,  glitched-out dance excursion that still remains minimal and human. It’s  tremendously refreshing to hear musicians work so well together and  produce such a highly-original sound on their debut outing. Wav-Legion treads  many stylistic lines while never imitating any of them. This  partnership absolutely needs to be pursued and both Wav and Legion  should be proud of instant fire they’ve made here. Hey 2019: this is how  it’s done. "
