I'm really digging the 60s Garage Rock sound from this present day band from Switzerland. Here are 3 more YouTube videos from The Jackets.
You Better
This first one is a Live performance. It's loud and fuzzy and the guitar break is manic. Fast tune that shows that Garage Rock and Garage Punk are still alive today!
Dreamer
This one is a mid tempo Garage Rocker that starts with the fuzz guitar lead riff as the female singer turns into a gorilla in the video. There are bridges with high reverb guitar which is also very cool. I hear an organ in the background in some parts of the song I think. Enjoy the song and watch the gorilla make friends in the video!
Hands Off Me
This one is the most true to 1966 Garage Rock. It features reverb guitar in parts and jangly guitar in others. Very familiar chord pattern. The fuzzy lead guitar solo sounds a little later in the 60s than 1966 but it's awesome. Very cool song that you should get up and dance to, while you watch Betty Boop from 1930 on the video!
