Music Alphabet - C - Crush

When I heard for the first time "Crush" by Dave Matthews Band, I was blown away.
The song starts with a cool bass line and builds up to fantastic jam-like part with saxophone, violin, guitar, penny whistle... All instruments are woven one into another and create a gently patterned musical carpet.

The song was released in 1998 as the third single from Dave Matthews Band album "Before These Crowded Streets".
The DMB plays "Crush"frequently in their shows.

There are two studio versions of the song.

The shorter, radio friendly and also enjoyable version is 4:35 minutes long and it contains the main story of the song, with a shorter "jam" part:
For me this song represents the heights that music as art can reach.

I hope you'll enjoy it too!
