Grown Children (Shake My Head)

I am a mother to grown children. I have grandchildren, who are my heart and soul. I have always been there for my children.

I helped my younger son raise his son for 8 years. My son and decide to buy son property with a home on it. The home had to be totally renovated. I had just been awarded my disability, I contributed the majority of my backpay into remodeling this home. Our agreement was...I would pay the mortgage (a minimal amount for 72 months) and my son would pay utilities, groceries, car insurance, upkeep on my vehicle, and my cell phone (since I had his phone and tablet on my acct).

He adds his girlfriend and her 2 girls to the mix as we are getting things ready so we can move in...then he marries her to keep her ex from causing problems with girls. Suddenly, I am being treated like I don't belong in my own home! I have asked them to pay me half of the remodeling costs. It will never happen.

I am getting a loan on my vehicle to purchase a camper or "tiny home". I will put it on the property and they will pay my electricity until the mortgage is paid. I absolutely need that peace in my life.

My son and I had an awesome relationship until this woman that he barely knew got into his head. I have MS and need as little stress as possible in my life. My son seems to think that I am unable to do anything without his assistsnce. It's time that he find out that this woman is EMPOWERED and ready to take on the world! I will buy my tiny home. I will pay off the mortgage. I will put the land in a trust (my half atleast) to keep the greedy daughter-in-law from touching it. I will change my will and beneficiaries to someone who doesn't have someone in their head.

I may have MS. I may have all the cognitive issues off and on. I may have periods of short term memory problems. I may have balance problems. MS is not going to tske me out of this world. I have learned to live with it and I can with it alone just as easily.
