🎬 Must See TV Shows - #46 - Cobra Kai

The Karate Kid Returns!!!.

So its been like 3 months or so since I last was active here, I have som seveere house renovation going on, and when doing it by yourself without hiring, it really takes up all free time, anyways now that I finally have a little computer time, why not spend it here on steemit and add another show to the list.

The show I can recommend watching today is: COBRA KAI

Episode runtime: aprox 30 minuts pr episode
Seasons: 1 complete seasons.
Status: Returning Series
Show started: 2018
Genrer: Action, Comedy, Drama.
Stars: Ralph Macchio, William Zabka
Show Creator: Jon Hurwitz
Availability: Available on Youtube Red
Imdb: Rated 9.0
Rotten tomatoes: Rated 100% / 96%

Those ratings are really astonishing for a show like this.

When I first saw this show was coming, I was very sceptic about it, I had no idea it would be as good as it actually is, I couldnt imagine that it would be any good at all to be honest.

But as the first couple of episodes was free on Youtube (and still is) I figured Why not give it a go, so I started watching it at the evening before going to bed, as one episode is only half an hour, but I ended up with watching 6 episodes and the rest when I got home from work the day after.

The story in itself is brilliant, I loved watching this from start till end and was left wanting more, the funny thing about this show is that Johnny was "the bad guy" in the karate kid movie, but in this show the roles are reversed, thats how I look at it without spoiling too much.

I would say that it is needed to have seen the old Karate Kid movie to understand this show, which might make the audience smaller than normally for tv-shows, I dont think youll understand the rivalry in this show if you havent seen the movie, just watching the first movie should be enough.

This is not a show with tons of effects, and it isnt needed, there sure is lots of sarcasm and humor in it, and it also frequently gives flashbacks to the karate kid movie, where you actually see it from Johnny's point of view, which also makes him seam as the good guy!! thats very strange.

When I refeer to the Karate Kid movie, its not the one with Jayden Smith, its the original: The Karate Kid Just to ensure there isnt any confusion.

Cobra Kai takes place 30 years after Karate Kid, where we follow Johnny Lawrence (the guy who lost the final to Daniel Larusso) He hasnt left the city after all this time, and after several events he starts up Cobra Kai once again, and Daniel Larusso who is now a big shot car dealership owner in time is not happy about it.

For TV-Shows it is quite alright to check out the trailer, depending on the age of the trailer, as you can easily get fooled and finding a quick recap of the first season of the show, and that would kinda suck.
So when watching trailers for tv-shows, be sure it is one of the first trailers that came out, to ensure there are not too many spoilers, but still informfull enough to give you an idea about the show

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and will consider watching this tv-show, as this is deffinently one of the better tv-shows out there.
