Start your week right "Work harder on yourself than you do on your job"

This week is about to be done and a new week is about to come; another week for our stressful jobs, another long week of battling the city traffic and another tedious hour of playing kiss your boss ass game. They say stop complaining and stop whining. It doesn't make you wrong feeling this way every once in a while; we're only human and so today I would like to share something that could change how you view the job that you don't really like but you are currently in.

Jim Rohn once quoted

"Work harder on yourself than you do on your job. The major question to ask on a job is not about the pay but what you are becoming. True happiness is not contained about what you get but about what you become"

Learning how to turn your paycheck as a secondary priority on your job is a good way to start. You've probably figured out some ways or strategy on how to change your life but for the meantime, you just don't have any choice but to stick with your current job (the same situation I'm currently in) since it is your only bread and butter.

Look at the bigger picture. Your job is just the process of becoming a better you, recognize the things in your job that could be related to your dreams, find those things and be good at it.

I am currently part of a marketing team. I am currently promoting and selling something I don't really like. Part of our job is to promote our products through the internet; finding our possible prospect using facebook boosting strategies, search engine optimization strategies and the likes are the silver lining I found to avoid feeling lazy doing the selling stuff. I realized that I can actually use what I am learning in promoting my own business or product in the future. Although the main product is something that I don't personally appreciate, I still like my job because of the things that I'm acquiring day by day for myself and possibly for my future business.

Don't let the day pass without doing something related to your bigger goal, no matter how small it is, it must still be counted. If your resources are limited, just don't stop! remember that we never really fail, we just stop trying. As long as we keep going out there day after day, we are constantly giving ourselves the opportunity to be successful but the second we stopped! we've taken away our opportunity to be great.

That's it for my weekly devotion to posting at least once in a week as I motivate myself and hope to also motivate others.
