I was born in WA USA and grew up home schooled. I'm now a professional adventure photographer, filmmaker and human rights activist currently in exile in Mexico over political persecution for trying to peacefully hold my corrupt goverment accountable.
I'm seeing first hand that the USA is not nearly as free or as safe as it pretends. I was charged recently for filming a cop and I left home with my wife and 5 kids around the time the courts were making motions to force me to give up my phone password so they could root around inside. No there was nothing bad inside, but I refused to comply with a court that would consider violating my rights in that way.
I have a very active YouTube channel and FB page but am tired of the censorship. I don't know if Steem is a real solution to this but it's critical to me that people of world have a place to get it's message out even if that message shocks or offends and not be silenced by corporate giants and governments. Our voice is our sword.
I've been getting into various crypto lately and buying some more obscure coins. I actually bought a Steem before I grasped what it was and then someone mentioned I should check out D Tube after one of my videos was nixed on YouTube. I found the concepts interesting and signed up, waiting annoyed to be approached which only took a day. I hear a few months back it was much worse.
I'm a Jesus fan, I love justice and I love to Paraglide. I'm here to speak my mind and share thought without restraint. I'm tired of lies, propaganda and controls on our minds and I'm tired of my people being slaves. -- Gav
