In this article, we lay out some of the leading platforms for publishing and monetizing your writing, videography and photography. This is a non-exhaustive list. In each category, we highlight the leading platform which pays in fiat and a platform which pays in cryptocurrency.

WRITING | Medium Partner Program |
To earn from writing / blogging on Medium, simply set up a Medium account and link your Medium account with your bank account or debit card via Stripe. For each Story that you write, remember to indicate at the point of publication that the Story will be published under the Medium Partner Program.
Writers are paid out of a pool of money from Medium member subscriptions, based on the number of reads, reading time and claps each post received. Medium recently adjusted their payment model to place greater emphasis on reading team than on claps. Some things to note are that:
only reads by paying Medium members will be counted (though writers will eventually be credited for reads by readers who later become members).
earnings of writers who are not based in the US are subject to withholding tax if the writer is based in a jurisdiction which does not have a tax treaty with the US.

Publish0x is a crypto-agnostic platform where creators can be tipped in BAT, Hydro, DAI or BNTY. To earn from writing / blogging on PublishOx, simply register as an author by filling in a simple form in which you’re asked to include a link of some of your other work. All applications will be reviewed in 24 hours.
After you’ve been accepted as a writer, start publishing! You can publish up to 5 posts a day. At the end of each post will be a toggle like the one below in which readers can decide how much to tip the post.
Readers are incentivized to tip as the tips are sourced from their rewards and do not come out of the reader’s pocket. As an additional incentive to readers, they get to decide how much of the tip they will keep (e.g. 20–100% to writer, 0–80% to reader). Tips are currently paid in Basic Attention Token (BAT).

In order to monetize your YouTube channel, you will need:
At least 1,000 subscribers
4,000 public watch hours in the last 2 months
to be in good standing with YouTube (i.e. satisfy their community guidelines).
According to Tech YouTuber TechLead, a video with a million views earned him almost USD 5,000 in 30 days.

Shutterstock is a global marketplace for stock photos, videos, icons, vectors and other forms of digital art. As a Shutterstock contributor you will earn royalties each time one of your approved images or videos is downloaded by a Shutterstock customer. How much you earn per each download depends on one or a combination of the following: the license and subscription that was used for each download, and your earnings tier.
PHOTOGRAPHY | SteamPeak|
SteemPeak is a platform run on the STEEM blockchain which rewards content creators (including photographers) in their native token (STEEM). Users can own STEEM, power up STEEM, transfer STEEM, create content and upvote (reward) content. Other Steem interfaces include Steemit.com and Busy.org, Steempeak.com.
STACK IT WITH BRAVE REWARDS
On top of all the revenue sharing that the above-mentioned platforms already provide, you can earn even more through tips for Creators verified by Brave Rewards.
