Moraira is the next village you visit.

Marina Baixa
It is a seaside resort, fisherman at first and touristy now.

The urban development of the coastline has also settled its reals in this area.

It has provided services to a strip of coastline slightly less rough than those located further north.

The most important accident of this coastal portion is the tip of Moraira.

A peninsula that is introduced in the Mediterranean almost a kilometer and protects a whole series of beaches and coves.

That form the ensemble known as Playas de Moraira and Altamira, which stretches for about 8 km of coastline.

Secluded from the coast, where beaches such as El Portet de Moraira, L´Ampolla, L´Andrago, L´Advocat or Les bassetes are located.

The interior, the portion of the land surrounding Teulada, offers less-known possibilities.

But not least interesting. Most of the fields are dedicated to the cultivation of Muscat grapes.

With her he elaborates an exquisite and famous Mistela.

In addition to some no less renowned Muscat raisins.

In September, coinciding with the grape harvest, the Festival of Muscat is held in Teulada.

Characteristic of the country houses of this area is the Riu-rau.

A kind of porch attached to the construction.

In which they put to dry the grape bunches so that they become raisins.

From Moraira or teulada you can easily reach the town of Calp.

Although it is always advisable to make the tour of the area closest to the coast.

By the road of Moraira, since it is passed, in this way, by beautiful and interesting coastal areas.

Once past the beaches of Baladrar and L´Advocat, you will reach the nearby Cala Llobella.

A small pebbled beach in which the typical thicket of the area reaches the edge of the rocks.

Its main interest is that it is somewhat apart from the massive urbanizations.

Which seriously affect both the former beaches and the Pinet, which is the immediate neighbour.

After this appears the facilities of the marina of Les Bassetes.

Belonging to the municipality of Benissa.

from which you can access the beach of the same name and the Mallorcan Cove, small and surrounded by some low constructions.

In the south, the silhouette of the Penyal D´Ifach, under which the population of Calp is spread, is clearly divided.

Before you get to it, however, you can visit the Cove and Playa de Levante.

In which urbanism is much more crowded than in the previous ones.

The city presents a special feature as far as celebrations are concerned.

Its implantation as a summer colony and wintering for tourists from the north and Central Europe.

That come to these shores in search of the benign climate, has encouraged that, for years, some curious carnivals are celebrated.

During which true German folklore groups act.

In addition to this curious celebration, Calp pays homage to the Virgen del Carmen in July.

Moment when the fishermen and sailors of the city, who are still enough, adorn their boats and make it to the sea.
The town planning of Calp is almost all new and little remains of the Old city.

Just the tower of the Peça and the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, patron saint of the city.

On the inside, the salt marshes.

Rest of a more extensive marsh, are, despite the environmental aggressions, a good place to observe birds, especially during the winter.

The Penyal D´Ifach, the rocky Mole introduced in the sea and which constitutes the main hallmark of the Alicante coastline, was declared a natural park in 1987.

Its extension is minimal, only 45 ha, most of them bare rock.

However, the ecological richness of this enclave, as well as its representativeness, are enormous.

The 324 m high is reached at the top of the rock, allowing a magnificent panoramic view of the Costa Blanca.

They are the highest point of the few 45 ha that make up the park, probably the smallest in Europe.

It is easy to walk through this park thanks to the paths and the Help your information office offers.

During these walks you can contemplate a good number of plant species typical of the Mediterranean thicket.

As well as some birds that have installed their houses in these rocky cuts or that use them as reference on their migratory flights.
