How to make Marijuana edibles

Hello all! This is my first story here. I hope you enjoy it!

This post is designed to walk you through the steps needed to make your own marijuana edibles at home!

Ingredients/Tools:
Marijuana -Decide how much you want to infuse into your recipe (I use 8G for a batch of brownies)
Butter or Coconut Oil - Use however much the recipe calls for (Typically 1 stick or 3/4 cup oil)
Water - 2-4 Cups
Cookie/baking sheet
Tin foil
A strainer
A medium sized containers to mix and store the product
1 Stove Top pot
Measuring Cup
Oven
Stove or Crockpot
A Fridge/Freezer
A Marijuana Grinder Not Necessary
A thermometer Not Necessary

To keep this organized we will divide the entire process into 3 different steps: Decarboxylation, Bonding, and Cooking

1. Decarboxylating the marijuana
Eating marijuana alone won't get you high. You must decarboxylate it, which activates the THC.
Preheat the oven to 240 degrees F.
Grind the marijuana. Not too fine. Using a standard grinder is perfect.
Place the ground marijuana onto a cooking sheet covered in the tin foil. Cover the marijuana with more tin foil so that the vapors do not escape.
Cook this for 40 minutes.
Remove the weed from the oven. Do not pull the top tin foil layer off until it cools or you will lose valuable vapors. This will allow them to settle back into the ground marijuana.

2. Bonding the THC to the butter/oil
Add the butter/oil, decarboxylated marijuana, and your water into a pot on the stove.
Allow the mixture to come to roughly 210-220 degrees F. Try to avoid a full on boil. A little simmering is perfect.
Continue to cook this mixture for a minimum of 2 hours, however, 4-6 is ideal.
Pour the hot mixture through the strainer and into its storage container.
You may throw out the old plant material, it isn't of much use anymore.
Place the strained liquid into the fridge, or freezer if you're in a rush.
Once cooled it should be in solid form. You will notice that the THC butter/oil is now completely separated from the water you added earlier.
Pour out the waste water and put the THC butter/oil to the side. It is ready to cook.

3. Cooking your edibles
Melt your THC butter/oil. You can do this by placing the butter in a glass, then floating that glass in a pot of boiling water on the stove. This is referred to as double boiling. You want to avoid the microwave because it will make your edibles less potent.
You can now cook your edibles according to its recipe, just add the THC butter/oil and Voila!
One thing I like to note is the temperature you cook the edibles at. THC begins degrading around 320 degrees F. I like to cook my edibles, whether they're brownies or cookies, at 315 degrees F. You will have to cook them for a while longer, but they will be much more potent!

Feel free to ask any questions in case I missed anything! Remember, Less is more with edibles, LOL.
