What is Final Star?

It makes sense to explain what Final Star IS. Theres a lot of people out there who have never heard of Final Star (maybe I should publish a book or something...)

But for those of you living under an asteroid; Final Star is a sci-fi comic series following the extraterrestrial adventures of a mis-matched group of cadets from a military training academy named Final Star - a station orbiting in deep space. It's one of several "Final Academies" scattered throughout the known galaxy with the mandate to protect and preserve peace (because nothing says "peace" like a big gun)

The cadets have to learn to adjust to living on the academy and with each other while dealing with everyday issues like conspiracy, murder and a mysteriously enigmatic masked man - just to name a few (just another typical monday for them)

Madison Ravencroft (aka Star) is our main protagonist and the story follows events from her... unique perspective. Her nickname was given prior to elisting as a cadet and has nothing to do with the academy name, but this is explained during the first chapter (complicated, I know)

At it's core - the Final Star comic is essentially a one-man army project, with several years of story planning, character design and world building (it's still in the baby steps stage, but it's slowly growing). The support from everyone goes a long way to helping my cause of taking something that was originally created for fun, to making a fully published series of comics a reality. And even though it's in early development, it'll definitely be worth the wait!

But what about now? Well, thats where this "artist diary" comes in, as an interactive making of Final Star, general updates and related topics in general.

Have a question about Final Star? Want to know more about the story or just a general question to myself? I can answer all of your questions as best as I can, right here!

It's early days, so I'm not expecting a huge amount - but everyone's welcome to ask or just sit patiently and see everything unfold.

Until then, I look forwarding to sharing the progress and story...
