Long before the white men came to Africa, that is about hundreds of years ago, there lived in Ode village a hardworking and a sincere farmer called Bayo Idowu.
He had a very beautiful wife named Iyami. They both worked on their farms. They both worked on their farmland at every farming season, they planted yam, cassava, okra, pepper, pumpkin and other edible fruits.
Being an industrious man, Bayo built himself one of the best huts in the village just a few meters from the chief's palace. Ode was a small village, but everybody there seems to be very happy and the villagers almost knew themselves by name.
Bayo was a very lucky farmer. Every harvest season, he got bumper harvest of yam, cassava, tomatoes, pepper and beans. He had a store house full that could last himself and his wife until the next farming season.
Naturally, one would have expected Bayo to be very happy man considering the money he made every harvest time from the sale of his crops and the plenty food he had. Besides, he was one of the closest friend of the Baale(chief) of Odeland and a Kingmaker.
