It all started as we drove from the train station to the hotel. Driving thru the base mountain you catch these amazing views; fog over the mountain the local shops and towns.

If you want to learn about culture and the way people live this is a very nice way to understand the humble beginnings. It also helps to appreciate why people are caring and understanding since all they have it each other.
The Tulou structure is unlike no other. Esch family that lives here owns a strip (1st, 2nd, 3rd and in some cases 4th floor) in the tulou and most of them are family. No too far from the tulou is where the farming and cultivation happens. You also see the markets selling the fresh fruits and vegetables. Try the red bananas, passion fruits; the taste and textures are mind blowing.
Tip #2: Be open minded and be willing to try the food and fruits.
Immerse yourself in the area, you’ll never want to go home. At least I’m wishing i could have stayed much longer.
