Black eyes are often associated with evil or supernatural powers. As the name suggests, the devil's eyes hold great powers of magic and death. Such eyes are capable of making the beholder see their deepest fears. As the beholder fears the outcome of seeing their fears, the outcome is postponed and delayed. Eventually, the eyes get weaker by waiting and waiting. Overuse of the power leads to the magic of the eyes getting weakened.
The devil itself lives in the infinity of time's darkness. It eyes are powerful beyond measure. They can look into the future and see what's to be. It can see the past and guess what's in the future. With great patience, the demon can predict what will happen. Little by little, it can guess what the future holds.
Unlike the Satan, the God from the bible, the demon does not have a designated position. No one knows where it came from and when it started to live. It is said it once lived inside the Earth itself through many ages. As the Earth swept by, it became more powerful and made its own place to live.
The devil's eyes are described as a pair of deep black orbs. They have no bottom or top. The eyes are not round like the normal eyesight. The eyes can be shrunken to a point where they can be hidden. The demon loves to hide them inside the hair to mock it's enemies.
The devil's eyes are not staying in one place. They are never settled. Do they roam around? Do they walk across space and time like demons and angels?
One thing is clear that the demon cannot move without the devil's eyes. The eyes, in a way, govern the demon's actions. They are the eyes that show the truth to the demon, who otherwise would not see the reality.
When the demon does not use the eyes, it is either unconscious or is dead. The eyes' power is used throughout the time of the demon. It is said that the eyes cannot see the truth anymore due to the past and the future that is never bound. It may be freed from the circle of time someday, but only god knows that.
It is also said that the devil itself may not even know about itself. It wants to tell its story but does not know how. As it does not know about it's own past, it becomes a pastless and futureless entity. Is this why it is called the devil? Someone who is destined to wander forever with no specific purpose?
Kotori wants the devil to tell her about its past. She does not want to know about its future. As Kotori's grandfather, Ryojiro, told her, the devil's eyes can find nothing about the past or the future. As for the present, it is the only present that the demon can see.
The demon has no past. What it sees about the present is what the demon sees only. Past and future are the figments of human imagination. Kotori does not want to know about the things that happened to the demon in the past. It is of no use.
The demon wants to tell Kotori about the past and the future, but the circumstances are not in its favor. Kotori's understanding of the present is more important to the demon. It does not want to bother the young lady.

Old Ryojiro tells Kotori that the eyes are very powerful. He said that they can see the future and see what has happened in the past.
She does not want to know about her grandmother's past. Kotori is curious about the legendary female demon with the black eyes. She wants to know what the demon is like.
Kotori's grandmother is sure that the demon likes dark things. The dark thing in her mind, as well as that of Kotori, is Ryojiro. Her father claims that the devil's eyes are quite beautiful. The eyes have, strangely, a good color. The eyes are said to match the famous senjougahara, but it's younger sister.
They say that the demon's eyes once belonged to the famous senjougahara. That is the reason why the demon and senjougahara are the same. Kotori's grandfather, Ryojiro, mentions that senjougahara is indeed senjougahara. The eyes of the demon look too young and pretty.
Then, that may be the reason why the demon's identity change. It has the eyes to see the present. More, it can see the future. It is what guide the demon's eyes to see. Senjougahara has a pair of eyes that can see things that have not happened.
The demon changed itself to senjougahara. Others may do so as well.
Kotori knows that the eyes are not bound to the demon. It may roam around freely and can see far away. The eyes are strong and can see things that are not visible for us.
The demon's eyes can see the world that can be seen by us as well. It has a mind as well, though it has many doubts about itself. It is aware that is it not senjougahara. It cannot see the future because the future is fragile. It is like an invisible shield which the eyes cannot see through.
The demon knows that it is not senjougahara. By knowing who it is, it knows what it is as well. The demon is sure that it prefers the dark because of it's own life since it was born. It is from inside the Earth.
Ryojiro tells Kotori that the eyes see the darkness. The powers of the eyes are infinite and cannot be restrained to the world that we live in. Kotori is sure that the demon knows everything in the world.
