I was sitting in the St.Louxian district not far from the port. There was plenty of dark there where I was sitting so I didn't have to worry about people seeing me. I had the upper hand over the person I was hunting and he was alone, so I wasn't worried about people interfering in our little duel. To be quite honest, I didn't want interference. It's a bit hard to find a man when he is alone, but he was also special. I was waiting for him to make a move on me and bring it on, but I did not need to wait long.
"The stars of heaven and the moon of judas did fall I think they fell that they might be bountiful to those who shed their blood on the seas of sacrifice." The man that I was searching for sang the first line of his song, and I was pretty sure of who he was by then.
"The stars of heaven fall up downwhen they tangle they tangle they fall like they're strung on a rope." I answered back and I could tell he was being defiant by the way he answered.
"The stars of heaven are in vain of what I tell thee but thou canst see I tangle them and they do fall like they're strung on a rope. I carve them with my sail-boat and I could see I profane..." He sings the last part of his song, and although I was already pretty dark and I was already having trouble tracking him, the starlight from the moon was making it a bit hard to see him. I try to respond with a few lines of the song I sang earlier, but my own ship's horn was close by and I didn't want it to keep blowing as I was trying to pick out the man.
"You are the man." I said to him as I knew it was him. "I could always pick you out if they fell in a crowd." The man sang back. "That you could sir, it's a shame that we were not of the same value." I told him. "Aye, I believe we were not." He says and disappears again. I could tell that I was weak because I could not tell if he was in front or behind me, or right or left. But I was sure he was one of my men and I was sure that I could pick him out of a crowd. So I get up and was going to move to his left.
"Eh! Sir, stay where you are for a moment and listen to me." I hear my ship's hatchet, who was of course speaking in Ship/ship sing saying. "You're as fast as a drunk mare and you've got the head of one of your own kind." I turn around in a quick movement and he was gone, but I knew he was my man. I wasted no time in going in his direction. "Ship/ship, this man is mine." I say to my ship, "I'm sure he's through wading in the water."
"Well he's not at the moment. I checked the water just a little ago, he is currently under the water but he's moving away from us." My ship says to me. "Where are you sir?" He continues. "We are in the St.Louxian district not far from the port." I tell him. "Alright, I hear you now, I'm coming." My ship says. "Alright, don't lose him!" I tell him. "I won't!" Ship/ship responds. I turn back to the man who I had been chasing. He was pretty close to me now so I went and hid inside of some old crates. I was in a very small dark corner, with only a small amount of moonlight lighting up the corner. The man walked into the corner, and as he passed by me I pulled my face out from the crates and grabbed his foot to trip him up.
"Whoa! Stay back." My ship calls out as we hear the man trip over me and fall on the ground. I step out of the darkness and he is still on the ground, but now my tail is racing towards him. I hit him a few times and he then starts dragging himself on the ground towards the water. I stop following him and I turn around to see where my ship is, he is no where in sight so I follow the man.
