This celebration has been held since 1992 as an initiative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
Breast milk is the best food we can give our babies, in my case I gave my baby exclusive breastfeeding, and it was the best decision I could make, firstly because breast milk contains all the nutrients, antibodies, and immune factors necessary for its development, besides that in Venezuela formula milk or formula is very expensive.
The decision to feed our babies with exclusive breastfeeding is not easy, requires a lot of patience, perseverance, and even must endure a bit of pain especially the first months, in addition to the many sleepless nights that are pansan when our babies demand milk in the madrigada. But all that is worth it, since our babies are born healthy and strong.
In my case I decided to seek support from a lactation consultant, and it helped me a lot because it taught me, among other things, the correct ways of sucking the baby, how to have a comfortable position to feed my baby, among other things.
Breastfeeding is also beneficial for mothers, since our recovery is faster, we avoid certain diseases and above all strengthen the bond we have created with our children during the nine months of pregnancy.
