Ever wondered why in court they make you raise your hand promising you’ll say “the truth, and nothing but the truth”? Because they know damn well how corrupted the human is;) Too bad for us that body language is one of the biggest data leak. It won’t make you get away with your lies that easily.

While a normal dose of privacy is healthy, anything that revolves around secrecy is deadly. In other words, hiding is pretty damn close to lying. You may be able to fool others while playing hide and seek with the truth, but doing so poisons you just as much. Some people are so used to drowning themselves in a sea of lies, that they mistake them as truths.

Control is only an illusion, and being the main actor of your life story doesn’t mean you are trustworthy. People lie for all sorts of reasons, the most notorious one being damage control. Speaking the truth is too much of a costly option when you attempt to save your mask. It’s all about protection. Protect your fake illusion of authenticity. Protect your non existent sense of dignity. Protect your relationships based on lies and fakery. So long as you never get to uncover the real me. Without self -awareness, self -improvement is impossible. Stop hanging on to fakery - and start coming clean about your pathological tendency for dishonesty. You can distort the truth, but not reality when it’ll come catching up with ya.
