Do you find your life as series of random happenings? Do you consider yourself too insignificant to become part of God’s divine plans? Do you know what contribution you should make to make a difference?
Life is God’s gift to you. A life well-lived is your gift to God. You are not here to be in motion; you are here to be action. The purpose of life is to live it with a purpose. While you receive life a gift, your responsibility is to live it purposefully. Know your purpose and live it well. At the end of your life, your greatest gift to God is to become the better version of yourself, which starts with self-acceptance and self-appreciation. Celebrate your person-hood by saying yes to your call specially to serving others and establishing a fellowship with them. The best way for you to glorify the creator of humanity is to be fully human; to live your life freely, peacefully, and happily through service and worship. There is no excuse for you not live a purposeful life. God created you uniquely for a special purpose. You are different from the rest because you will do something that no one else can duplicate. If you won’t do it, something in the history of the world will be left undone. Only you can truly and fully understand and live your purpose, based on your natural talents and skills.
To be born in this world was not our choice. It was God’s. He wanted us to be here. He took pleasure in creating us. It was planned. It was on purpose. Our existence is a reflection of his glory. To care for you and me was his choice. Now, to believe that God cares for us is to recognize our own worth. Everything else is of less significance. Yes, God sees us as his masterpiece. In fact, we mean the world to Him. We are precious not because of what we have but because of who we are- no other creatures in this world are treated with equal importance. To believe in Him is but the logical thing we can do in return. To accept his Son is part of the mission for which we are created. St. Paul says: Each one of you is a son of God because of your faith in Christ Jesus. You are no longer a slave but a son! And fact that you are a son makes you an heir, by God’s design.
When we truly live our purpose, we find real happiness. A purposeful life is a happy life. Now, our life has to be founded on something or better on someone unshakeable- God. Our purpose, if it has to be real, is always directed towards the recognition, love, and worship of God. It is meant to be shared with others. We are here to learn to love each other and ourselves for the sake of the God who loved us first. We are here to be dedicated to our fellows, to our spouse, to our children, to our neighbors when they need us. After all, God revealed his purpose first: He loved us unconditionally through the saving works of his Son.
KNOW WHAT TO AIM FOR
Be sure to shoot at the right target. Know what is your personal assignment in this world. Knowing your mission will help you choose what opportunities to grab, what important decisions to make and which activities to scrap. Not knowing where to finish live is will tempt you to follow every available road. Any road will get you nowhere. The only way you could reach the finish line is when you are running the right race. When you decide to go where you want, forgetting about what God wants for you, you will definitely stumble at the wrong end. There is a big difference between what you want to do for God and what God is asking you to do for Him. Do not ask God to bless what you do but do what He blessed you to do.
Do not live according to your plans for God. Live the plans for God for you.
ASK YOURSELF, WHY AM I HERE?
If you have not asked the questions, “What am I here for”?, you are like a dog chasing its own tail or a plane forming circles in the cloud. You are on the highway of nowhere. That is too dangerous. One of the most important questions you should ask is, “What is the purpose of my existence?” Do not commit the mistake of thinking that a person’s purpose comes from external sources. No, it comes from within. You will have to dig your purpose from the inside. You will have to formulate it from within. Look at your talents and abilities. Find out what you love doing. Realize that life itself is a gift that is meant to be shared. When you finally figured out where you want to go, you finally come to learn what it means to live. Your strengths and your passions will give you clues to your mission.
You are here to worship the Father and to serve His children.
KNOW YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL
Our ultimate goal is to love our God. It is our response the first love He showed to us through Jesus. To trust God is to accept His will in our life. It is not poverty and wealth that saves or condemns. It is our dependence and trust in God and our ability to obey and serve Him that brings about salvation. Our love is a response to our God who loved us first. When we give love, we are responding to Him. In life, we come to realize the good news that God loved us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus. Our goal is to respond to that act of love by giving back our love to everyone even at the most difficult times. When we love, we are in a way responding to God’s love.
Think about your real purpose more often. Find ways to intensify your desires so as to accomplish your principal task. The clarity of your purpose will teach you how to start on the road to a road to a new you. It is good to realize that you have a mind, wired towards eternity- this must be your ultimate vision.
FIND YOUR CORE VALUES
Instead of wasting too much time learning what you are not passionate about what is never your inclination and talent you do not have, focus on what you are good at doing. There you will find your calling. There you can find how productive you are. There you can perform better, sometimes without too much effort. If you want to learn a new trade, prioritize on your inclinations first. Master an art that you love doing or that you can accomplish with ease and facility.
You can do great things mostly with your natural gifts. If your voice is mistake to that of a cat, it may be unwise to choose singing as your profession. If you may set your heart into something and pour in all your time and effort to master a trade, it has to be something connected to your natural gifts. Do not engage in anything just because your teachers gave you the suggestion or your parents thought it was the best for you. You can grow more with your core values, your inner gifts, your inborn talents and your personal inclinations. Your job is to search for every one of them and use them to your advantage.
USE YOUR CORE GIFTS TO SERVE
Selflessness is the most important vehicle you can use to find your true self. Selfishness could be your greatest curse. Make the most of your talents and skills by rendering loving service in the right way. Get busy with doing something for someone every day. Find your core gifts inside your own universe. As a person, unique and empowered, you can do magnificent things in a magnificent way that no one else can. Your core gifts often identify your mission. They are your door to the world around you. They are your tools to touch people’s lives. When you make a difference in people you become transformed. You cannot but improve as you improve the world around you. Always remember that happiness comes in serving and loving. Usually, service and love go together.
If you do not use the talents that God gave you sooner or later you will lose them. Be resourceful. Capitalize on your strengths and learn from your mistakes. You are a complete package with magnificent possibilities. God, however, does not want to spoon-feed you or else you would not grow. Relying on God too much can be your excuse in not using the gifts He freely bestowed upon you.
