Look how my life has changed........
I can remember growing up in the city and always getting into trouble with the law. I’ve road in the back of squad cars wearing hand cuffs, I’ve even sat in a jail cell for days. I’ve made some poor decisions and have hung with the wrong crowds many times, never thought I’d be on this side of the fence with law enforcement.
There was a time when I would run from the police just to avoid having any type of interactions with them. Fast forward to now and I’m the man they call when they need help. Whether it’s to pick up a stolen car, an accident or to retrieve a car from the woods, we provide law enforcement with our services 24 hours a day. Well today I had to take a crime scene unit van and a squad car to the city shop.
I’m still adjusting.........
Each time we get a call to come to the precinct to pick up a car, we have to knock on the locker room door. Most times the supervisor will come out and hand me the key but today when I knocked an officer open the door and invited me in. I peeked my head in and seen so many officers that I decided to just wait outside because I didn’t feel comfortable. Not that I was doing anything wrong, it’s just a major adjustment for me when I spent my younger years running from them.
Im grateful for the transition I’ve made over the last few months with this company. I know I will get the call to clean up a fatality accident in the near future, hopefully the scene won’t affect my job performance. Thank you for reading this blog my friends, I hope you found pleasure in reading it enough to hit the like button.
