Appreciate what you have (How to be a super-dad #5)

Today I would like to talk about one important lesson what I have learned by being a stay-at-home dad.

Our life is filled with a lot of small things around us, and we tend to forget things that we really should appreciate.

The things that give us happiness, but because of our fast tempo of lives we somehow forget about those things. Why we are so concerned about some things in life and we forget about other?

I would like to share some of my Kurts Photos.

Thanks to this kid I had so many revelations. He showed me what is important in life and what is secondary.

I tend to go for the money and the title. This was the main goal for me. I was the same as many people around me. We are raised like this. The main indicator of happiness is money. You can say anything you want, but its true almost all people tend to think that, if I will have money, I will be happy. This is so incorrect, really.

The hard part here is, that there is no indicator of happiness you are born to be happy. It is not somewhere there it is here, right now.

If you could stop just for a second, and really appreciate what you have, you could understand that you are happy, and there is no need to run for something to achieve happiness.
I am not saying to do anything and just sit there on your ass. Achieve goals in life, always become better. Just don't forget what you have and like at least for few minutes appreciate what you already have.

For me it is family. I love my family from bottom of my heart and I will do anything for them. And this amazing chance for me to stay at home and be with my kid was totally worth the price I paid for it.

I understand that it sounds very cliche and you probably hear it all the time, but the main goal of this post is to remind it again and again and maybe someone will really think about it because it is easy to talk about it, but very hard to really appreciate the things you have. I hope everybody will have enough willpower to do so. I can guaranty that if you do so, as I did, you won't regret it.

To be continued…...
