Maleficent is a powerful fairy living in the Kingdom of the Moors. At a young age, she fell in love with a human named Stefan. As the years pass, they grew apart. Maleficent being the most powerful fairy became the protector of the Moors. The acquisitive King Henry, tried to take over the Moors, but Maleficent stop him and his men. The king was wounded and had no choice but to retreat. While the king was on his death bed, he declares that whoever will be able to kill Maleficent will have the right to marry his daughter and be the next king of that humanly kingdom. Upon hearing that, Stefan came up with a plan and he knew his advantage over the others. He went back to the Moors to pay Maleficent a visit. He wanted to win Maleficent's trust so he can drug her and easily kill her. He attempted to kill Maleficent but he couldn't do it, so he cut Maleficent's wings instead and brought it back to their kingdom, to present to King Henry. Stefan successfully got the throne and married Princess Leila. To Maleficent's dismay, she turned the Moors into a dark kingdom and was determined to take revenge. That's how she became the bad fairy and was proclaimed the "Mistress of all evil"
We are all Maleficent at some point in our lives. With pain, betrayal, heart ache, and all the other essential ingredients, our vulnerable, soft-hearted selves transform into someone full of hatred and anger over the world. We become less of ourselves and more of what other people made us.
No one in this world is born as an antagonist with innate hatred towards others. We were all just put into a situation where we develop a heart of stone and the need to step up and take revenge over the fact that we were not treated as how we think we deserve to be.
You see, every villain has their own stories to tell. Has their own reason how they became what they currently are. We don't have the right to just point fingers and judge people over what they do. If we could all just look beyond what we can see and try to understand, that in this humanly world, bad people were once good humans, who were just victims of circumstances.
We are more than just a judgement.
