Late night thoughts

I am writing this story based on one assumption, that we will live forever.

As the singularity approaches and technological advances only progress at an ever increasing pace, it is so clear to me what the future holds. I think about and studied this almost every waking hour. And once I saw it for the first time, I saw it everywhere. If you are young. ish. and healthy. Odds are, a thousand to one, you will ever die.

Now you do not have to believe me. That is fine. If I am wrong, time will tell. If I am right, come back and read my story over and over again. because it will not change. But if you have even a glimmer of doubt, entertain me, for a minute.

No relationship is perfect. And in an infinite lifetime with an infinite amount of different interactions, we are all bound to grow apart. You may be friends, family or lovers for a hundred years, or a thousand or a million. But there will be a time, when something happens, that tears you apart. Isn't it ironic how the exact opposite of what usually separated us, death, does exactly the same.

The more things change, the more they stay the same

And after an infinite life, after an infinite amount of experiences with everyone and everything conceivable, you will turn back to your old loved ones and understand, that they never truly left. And so, in our times when we are apart, we will learn to see that there is present and persistent beauty, even in the relationships from our past.

Love to you all.
