BRANDING YOUR STRENGTH.
These are the emblems which companies are known for. That is their company's trademark of excellence. A brand is an emblem, symbol, trademark or feature that distinguishes a company, person or product from its rivals. Branding is the art of creating a unique mental image to the public concerning a product. Branding creates a great marketing and advertising value for a product.

A brand is an idea or image that comes to mind when thinking of a product. Branding is aimed at attracting potential consumers, customers, clients and distributors.
Companies use different tools for branding their products such as logo, slogans etc. like glo will say Grandmasters of data. MTN- everywhere you go, fidelity bank- we keep our word. Branding is not just to build recognition but also a reputation that lasts for a long time.
Have you ever asked yourself why Peak milk, coca-cola or First Bank will be over 100 years and still striving as a brand.
Why Mr Biggs as a brand is struggling to retain its brand amidst other brands into similar line of business.
There are strategies to branding such as adverts on the media, engraving emblems or logo on t-shirts, cars, sharing branded gift items. Branding strategies are long term well defined plans to keep a particular brand relevant and continually meeting the desired needs of the consumer.
At this point I want to pause and ask yourself. What are my strengths. How can I brand my strengths to be unique amidst other competitors in my league?
Your strength as a person is your selling point. It can be inherited from parents, it can acquired over years of learning and practice and it can be a gift. Identifying your strength is a great process to greatness.
In the journey of branding your strength, identifying your strengths is the basis. Every person is blest with a level of uniqueness. Identifying it is very key to your brand.
The next key factor to branding your strength is setting achievable long term and short term goals in improving your strength. Every strength needs constant improvement. As you can see the world is changing everyday. If you don't improve with time one becomes ancient or obsolete. There is great need to improve your strength.
Give at least 1-3 hours daily to improving your strength. In a week your have given 7-21 hours towards improving your strength, continuously as the years roll by you will surely see that you get better at what you do and do it best.
In branding your strength be innovative and flexible. The banking industry has different brands that are struggling daily to stand and at this has constantly evolved from papers to a cashless society that at the comfort of your home you can make payments, send money to other. Imagine what would happen to a bank that refuses to go cashless, develop a banking app, no online platform or have an atm. Sure they would have been bought over by another bank. If you don't become innovative with your strength, bring new ideas on board with time one becomes out of business.

In branding your strength study and read. A man armed with information is like a gun fully loaded with bullets. How much have you read and studied on what others have done in the area of your strength. A man without information can never go far. Be the one others will likely consult in that field. I know a physician other physicians consult on difficult cases. It's not cos of his years of experience but he has distinguished himself in his area of specialization. Attend seminars on your area of strength. A friend of mine paid 1.5 million to attend a seminar on strategic communication in Indonesia. You might say that is costly but ignorance is costlier.
In banding your strength have a mentor and learn to network with people. Good mentors are shoulders to climb to greatness. Be humble to learn from others and don't hoard information too. Networking is a great strategy in branding your strength. Your networks can recommend you to new clients. In branding your strength your personality is very very important. Reputation, integrity, transparency and accountability is key. Sometimes you hear a person say my village people have vowed I wont succeed but his character is questionable, he wont deliver jobs on time, can abscond with a clients money and never truthful. It's not village people but the attitude one refused to deal with has become a flat tire in his drive to success and till the tire is changed he or she can go far in life. In building a lasting brand one must be someone that can be trusted.
In branding your strength hard work, diligence and consistent has been proven to distinguish people over the years. A diligent and hardworking man will stand before kings not mere men. Be consistent in your quality, don't comprise it. I worked for a research firm for 9 months. In those months the research or surveys carried out were for telecommunication companies, FMCG companies etc. They want to get feedback from consumers and customers on their brand and how to improve it. In branding your strength please be open minded to welcome feedbacks from clients no matter how little, do surveys from time to time. The responses gives you ideas and clue on how to serve the public better. Don't neglect word of mouth. It has killed many brands don't let it kill yours.
In conclusion the reputation and recognition of your strength is dependent on the brand it represents. Your strength can last for a life time if you brand it excellently. Thanks for having me, am @jessicool
