CORE QUESTING Episode 2: Gearing up with a little dose of Self-Encouragement

Admit it or not, in a short amount of time, Steemit has won our hearts over. Little did we know, it already played a great influence in our lives. In fact, it mostly dictates our mood of the day to the point that our happiness and sadness depend on it. In addition to that, we mirror ourselves on how our posts perform in this platform. Does it ring a bell?

Due to that, I am in a quest of finding my core and owning it. To know more about it, you may check the first episode of my quest here: https://steemit.com/life/@glennamayjumaoas/core-questing-episode-1-being-knocked-down-isn-t-being-knocked-out

So, in line with the quest for identifying my core, I'd like to allot this second episode to fuel and gear myself up with a dose of self-encouragement.

For the time being spent in this platform, I noticed that I've been so critical to myself and paid particular attention to my weaknesses. Because my success in this platform isn't the same with others, I kept on scrutinizing myself for being incompetent and unskillful. This might go the same with others who have kept trying but keep failing.

However, how are we able to search for our strengths if we keep focusing on our weaknesses?

It's now time to look at a different perspective, a different point of view, a different channel. I'd like to encourage myself so I can find happiness in every small success.

I may be knocked down multiple times, but I'm not staying down. I'm rising up, going again and find my core!

Looking at the mirror and telling these to myself:

Hey Glenna! I'd like you to know that,
-you are good in public speaking.
-you have a skill in hosting.
-you can dance well.
-you have skills in handcrafts.
-you have a heart for nature.
-you love doing charity works.

If those aren't enough, open your encouragement file!

Encouragement file- uplifting notes that I got from the people who loved and complimented me. I started collecting those 4 years ago when I read Joel Osteen's "Create an Encouragement File".

At some point in our downfall, we have to be reminded on how people appreciated us and the great deeds we've done for them. Some people can't validate their goodness unless validated by others. In this case, an encouragement file can work wonders.

I must have motivated them well.

What am I doing? I am uplifting my spirit and it feels heavenly! My failure in Steemit might eaten up my self-esteem but not my perseverance to succeed! Now that I am reminded on how valuable and capable I am, I guess I couldn't be more ready for the core questing!

I already have an idea on how I will go about it and I'm so excited to discover what I can offer to this platform. I'm happy I'm taking this journey with you all! Thank you for the love and support!

Stay tuned for the next episodes, fam!

Love,
Glenna❤
