Man seeks courage to live
But not one to die
'Cos it's life he knows
And has the urge to keep.
Death imports unknown
To one that wants to live
The thought of it he dreads
But what's the worth of life
Except in realm of death—
To daily die to self
On the cross of sacrifice
That makes a living soul
For God and man to spend!
And when the end is come
To part with frame to rest
The thrill will lick the fear
That keeps the world in bonds
"For me to live is Christ:
To die is rather gain"
The song of courage to die!
