Not even the best artists can mix colors like nature does.
This shallow salt lake located above 4000m in the southwest part of the altiplano of Bolivia, within Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve and close to the border with Chile, contains borax islands, whose clear white colour contrasts with the reddish of its waters, caused by red sediments and algae pigmentation.
