The size of the reservation is to be increased from the current 83 km / h to 280 kilometers. The location includes the territory of Pálava, practically the entire Lednice-Valtice area and floodplain forests on the right bank of the Morava river from Mikulčice to the confluence of the Morava and Dyje. After the previous leadership of the Břeclav Town Hall had a major objection to shifting the boundaries of the reservation to the city, the current city representatives supported the expansion of the territory. Similarly, representatives of other municipalities are responding.
"I ride through the municipalities, I participate in the meetings of the representatives and we are still trying to get their consent," said Pravu Matuška. He believes the UNESCO Biospheric Reserve Commission in Paris will approve the border enlargement meeting in June. The initiators still have to ensure the translation of all documents and their delivery to the seat of the commission.
The name changes
Together with changing borders, the name of the reservation will change. By the PLA administration, the required designation BR Pálava was extended to BR Pálava and Podluží on the basis of the requirements of the Forests of the Czech Republic.
Later Lednice Libor Kabát (SNK) Mayor demanded that the Lednice-Valtice area be included in the name. Eventually, however, after consultation with experts, the protected area will be called Biosphere Reserve Dolní Morava. "Otherwise, the name would be incredibly long, but we agreed that Pálava, LVA and Podluží could be used in brackets," added Matuška.
The declaration of extended reservation according to Matuška does not affect the life of the inhabitants of the area. On the contrary, the status of a biosphere reserve can trigger the unprecedented development of organic farming where the place of production and production of organic food could be taken into account in the search for sales.
BR's headquarters will be in Břeclav. Forests of the Czech Republic will provide space in a forest plant building near the city center. The separation of the BR management outside the Mikulov Administration of the Protected Landscape Area of Pálava was one of the conditions given by the management of the Židlochovický Forest Factory of the Czech Republic.
