Ladies and gentlemen,
In this first post, we will explain who we are, and what this Project / Service will be about.
What is @Steemtranslator?
We are an initiative that arises mainly to solve the problems of those Spanish-speaking users who have little or no knowledge of the English language. And yet, they are interested in understanding publications in that language; as well as they wish to have the opportunity to post quality posts in English.
While it is true that Spanish-speaking users are becoming more and more in this community every day; we are still a minority with respect to the Anglo-Saxons.
Clearly, at this point in the 21st century there are quite "practical" translation tools such as Google Translator. But there is a problem: Many times these translators are quite inaccurate, and that can go completely unnoticed by people who (as we have said before) have little or no knowledge of the language.
What in this context, would cause a publication completely disastrous and with little sense; and that's what is least needed for a post to have some success.
But this is not all:
We also decided to give an opportunity to the users whose mother tongue is English.
We have come across many articles with potentially good information, or at least with super interesting topics, but once again with a small inconvenience; These posts are written "in style": Yo Jane, Tu Tarzan (I Jane, You Tarzan)...
Verbs badly conjugated... And so on...
For these reasons, in order to help the growth of the community and promote good quality content, we decided to offer the translation service COMPLETELY FREE.
But how does @steemtranslator work?
Easy:
If there is a post that you find interesting, but it is in English, and you are Spanish speaking:
Copy and paste the link of that post in the comments section of our most recent publication.
You should do the same if you speak English, and find a post that seems interesting, but is in Spanish.
WE WILL BE IN CHARGE OF TRANSLATING THAT POST AND PUBLISHING IT FOR YOU (ASAP).
Soon we will enable the reception and sending of emails, in case you want to send us more directly the information to be translated; and be yourself who makes the publication, as it could be the case of an #introduceyourself (presentation), or any content of your own authorship.
We hope to grow little by little, so if you speak Spanish/English and another language, you can collaborate with this project and thus make Steemit a better place, where we can all understand each other.
IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS, OR SUGGESTIONS DONT HESITATE TO COMMUNICATE IT.
