Greetings dear Steemians, I have seen the registration of new users in Steemit very recently and I have been struck by the fact that many users, either due to ignorance or for other reasons, have been using Steemit as a social network , uploading little original content and in many cases without meaning, very similar to what is published in other popular social networks. We must understand that, if we want to receive rewards for our post we should try to follow in principle the basic rules of use of Steemit, and seek to generate original content of general interest and high quality, not publish for publishing, this would be my first recommendation for those who they are starting in Steemit just like me, and mainly for my Venezuelan countrymen who are entering this community, I am not the most expert person in how Steemit works, if they walk around my Wallet they will verify it, I just base myself on what I have researched in the short time I have been in the community and the recommendations of other users and friends who are here.
I invite you to exploit your creativity and your knowledge, Steemit is a wide community, if you are a musician, if you are a poet, if you are a doctor, economist, if you like to draw, if you like to write, if you are a video game fan, whatever you do , here you have a place to express yourself.
Here I will leave you several recommendations that I hope will be of great help to develop and grow positively in Steemit:
The first step is to create your account in Steemit, backing up your password is essential because you can not recover it if you lose it. If you already have your active account and your key supported, to start with your publications in the community you can make a presentation post using as main label #introduceyourself, share with the community who you are, where you are from, what you do, as you knew about Steemit and what do you expect from the community, etc., accompany your post of photos and videos that describe your review (if they are images and videos unpublished for Steemit much better if you do not remember to put the source from where you got them)
You can use 5 labels for each post, use those that are related to the subject you are dealing with in your post, I recommend using labels that are in trend.
When I talk to a friend about Steemit, one of the things that always ask me beginning is how to collect our rewards (before having won any reward), the recommendation is, focus on uploading good content, quality and original, and the rewards will come to you, But yes!!! Steemit pays, but not to upload any nonsense, keep that always present. You can see the value of the SBD on the day by entering www.SteemDollar.com, I recommend you also never change all your SBD, save, and invest in Steemit there are many ways to do it.
Recently Steemit administrators, in view of the large influx of new users, and the low quality of the content originated by new users, who apparently have only, entered in search of easy rewards, has limited browsing time in the site, as well as the voting power, which you can verify by going to the following page: www.SteemD.com/@Myselfuser.
My recommendation since you just start is post on a inter daily basis, give chance to each post to collect rewards, do not create new posts every hour, for frustration of not having raised quickly. Manage your power very well, start by giving your vote to your own publications. If you like a publication and want to support it you can give it a resteem, so your followers can also see and be interested in that publication and thus achieve more feed. If you want to give your vote to that publication because it really captivates you, in addition to RT, remember that 100% of what you collect a post, 70% is left to the author, divided 37.5% in SBD and the other 35% in SP (Abbreviation of Steem Power or Power of vote), and the remaining 25% is what is distributed among all those who voted for this post, this is what appears in our Wallet as a healing reward, but for that may be effective, you must have taken enough time to read the content of the publication, because if you vote to vote the post considering that you will get a healing reward, you are wrong because the system does not recognize your vote as valid for this order, if you do immediately after posting. In conclusion, do not vote for nothing, take your time, read the content carefully and see if the author really deserves your support. Another detail is that the 25% that you can earn as a healing reward, you will not receive in SBD, if not, as SP. There is a way to pass your SP to SBD, but for this you need a minimum of it, and to get to it you need to raise a lot of level so starting this is not an option, since it is more important to be able to earn enough SP to strengthen your reputation, and thus make a feed by supporting good content in the community. There is also a way to buy SP, it is a good way to invest in the long term if you like Steemit and future time in this. Another way to manage your SP well is not to vote for Post who have already spent their collection time (7 days) as this will not generate any kind of rewards to the author or to you.
- When you like a post, let your author know, comment on relevant things, reflections or opinions of a post but please never comment: "Follow me and I follow you", or "Vote and I Vote" or simply "good post", Since this is in very bad taste, remember this is not instagram or facebook. Steemit goes much further, and the idea is to be able to feed with users, upload content of general interest that people can read, listen or see, and not simply vote for personal interest to win rewards through receiving a vote back, because we would be doing, making Steemit a more facebook without giving the true value that deserves the original content of the authors. We must take the time to read, listen or see the posts of other users, because they have invested valuable time and resources to write or upload something worthwhile and of interest to the community.
Avoid being silenced, do not spam, you can post the same post twice, once in Spanish and once in English, using different tags. But do not abuse, publishing the same post several times using different labels, because this will make other users of the community simply ignore you
Be open to the opinions of the community regarding your publications, even if these comments are not of your total satisfaction, we are here to support ourselves and thus improve each day more, respect and accept the opinion of others.
If you do not have a discord account (it's a skype-type chat)
register, since it is the most common way of communicating privately among Steemit users, there you can find many help servers, for when you have doubts about Steemit, you will always get willing users to help you.
- Beware of plagiarism. All image, text, video, etc. that they take as reference of Internet, even if it is of your authorship but it was previously published in another site, publishes the sources of where you have obtained them, avoids to be sanctioned by plagiarism since you can be expelled from the community for this quote.
To edit your post you can use these simple commands:
< b > (text) < / b >
Text you want in bold
< i > (text) < / i >
text they want in italics
< center > (text) < / center >
When you are going to use a font use this command so that those who read you know where you got the information, image, etc. [SOURCE] (link) the source word in brackets and in parentheses paste the link you want to quote.
There are other commands to justify, enlarge letters, etc. that you can locate using HTML. - Be careful with spelling and writing. If you do not have much experience writing and / or writing use a word processor that you know to correct possible errors you may have, and seek help from friends or other users in the community.
- When you are starting out at Steemit, the best way to get to know yourself without doing spam, if not showing your talent very well, what you do, is participating in the competitions that are organized within the community, there is always there active painting competitions, photography, literature, music among others very good.
Personally, I am a musician and I always recommend to my friends to follow @luzcypher who organizes the open microphone "OPEN MIC" which is held week by week and is a very close community where you will find much support, including much more. of him that you have searched and found desperately for years in other social networks, it seems a dream yes but it is real thanks to Steemit, I have participated with my band @guaraguaras and we have done very well.
