Hello HIVE community, we are new here and would like to introduce ourselves and greet everyone. So we are Joanna and Andy, a German Swiss couple on the cruise with 2 dogs and a cat. The five of us live on an old sail catamaran in the tropics. Joanna and I are both 42 and it is not so easy to tell where we reside. That changes constantly since we have been living on a old sailing catamaran for many years and travel around the world. We work together with various human aid organizations and provide disaster relief after hurricane impacts on remote islands in the Caribbean. This is just what we do, but on a voluntary basis and we are not paid for it. We don't need much money and the little we earn is mainly with writings, social media and crypto swing trading - sort of digital nomades. Sometimes a boat delivery and we teach different skills every now and then. Basically we are humble sailors and do not chase after big dollars.
We love our freedom and don't like it when someone tries to control us. Unfortunately, most governments today do just that and there is little chance of escaping. We have achieved a large part to get back our freedom by not having a permanent residence and therefore no address. Now we are working on our financial freedom and have long since said goodbye to traditional banks. We don't have much, but we have everything in crypto and therefore the sole control and it is available in seconds if needed. Nobody can freeze our assets anymore. This happened to us several times because as travelers we have international money transfers with small amounts all the time. They were afraid of money laundering and took the right to shut us down every single time until it was clear that it was another false suspicion. We are adults, we know how to behave and we don't need a corrupt government telling us what we are allowed to do. That is why we are big fans of decentralization and crypto-currencies.
We are used to create videos of our travels and share them with a short anecdote on social media as a memorie for us and also to earn a couple bucks. We didn't like the censorship and unfair monetization on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram and we were looking for a decentralized solution with a fair rating system. Fortunately, HIVE seem to offer just that and so we can tell our story in a whole new way. I don't know exactly who my mentor is but let me say thanks to @kuttmoped, he gave me the idea, @chriddi @janasilver and @indextrader24 helped me immediately and gave me valuable tips and strong support. I think everyone here is super helpful and nice. We hope to meet many like-minded people here and would like to ad some sea salt to HIVE. But for now we just want to wish everyone a wonderful day and let you know that we are happy to be here with you.
