The sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest in the world.it has been declared the 52nd world heritage site in the world.the sundarbans is in south west part of bangladesh, the sundarbans is a part of the world's largest delta formed by the rivers Ganges, brahmaputra and meghna river on the bay of bengal.the sundarbans is famous for its unique ecosystem and a rich wildlife habitat. it is the natural habitat of the world's famous royal bengal tiger,spotted deer,crocodiles,jungle fowl,wild boar etc.it is the single largest source of forest produce in the country.the forest provides raw material for wood based industries.so,its role in our national economy in no way can be ignored.
