July 6, 2017 was the date I received an email from Pseudonymous Bosch. In case you didn’t know, PB is a favored author of mine. He’s such a mysterious person and the public doesn’t even know who he really is. I actually started reading his books back in Elementary.
Because of PB’s website (where I found his email), I decided to send him questions for him to answer. It took him more than a month to reply but it was “worth the wait”.
This was the email I got from Pseudonymous Bosch (w/ minor edits).
Brianna:
A secretive author like PB seldom gives interviews. It’s far too dangerous to divulge info to an untrusted source. So this agreement to answer the questions is contingent on the answers not necessarily being true.
Me: Why did you choose to use the pen name, Pseudonymous Bosch?
PB: It’s a secret, of course. Still, there is that renaissance painter Hieronymus Bosch, whose work has gotten a little bit more press this year than most.
Me: Who among the characters of your books do you think you are similar to the most?
PB: Who, M-E?
Me: Since you write in a way different than most writers, how and why did you choose your certain writing style?
PB: There’s another way to write? Please share because this method is very time consuming.
Me: Will we be expecting films based on your books soon?
PB: A film is much too dangerous. Too many people could be notified of the secret, putting their lives at risk. Maybe a TV series would work instead.
Me: What’s your advice for would-be authors?
PB: Keep it up, but sometimes teaching is the best way to learn. Maybe help an author out by writing his book for him.
