They flubbed 100% the internet being wrong.

The internet was dead on correct about the virus long before the mainstream media who downplayed the virus super hard. It was the internet that was instrumental in warning the world while the CDC and the WHO dragged their feet and called preppers a bunch of conspiracy nut jobs. Literally weeks later those same people are recorded to have suddenly began telling people to prep for the virus. The CDC and the who also, in their inability to admit they were wrong began telling people that gloves and masks are useless in an attempt to get people to stop buying them. Even President Trump was guilty of downplaying the virus and was forced to switch his tune weeks later.

The movie absolutely fucked up on how we would be able to trust the CDC and the WHO ever again. In a similar fashion we also have to deal with the fact that this is very likely a man made virus. They completely missed this possible angle in the movie as well.

They also flubbed on the economic side of things. America would experience a massive long term depression after the virus makes it impossible for people to go to work for at least 18-24 months. The movie also completely failed to talk about how everyone would be worried about China collapsing would effect the world economy.

If the movie was 100% accurate it would have been labeled a dark comedy. Donald Trump as the president and the politically incorrect section on a Norwegian under water basket weaving internet forum displaying bowls of bat soup for the worlds dismay while the mainstream media danced around the facts for as long as they could until it was evident they also got their information from the same source.

Bonus cringe, when a person from the internet tells you not to believe the internet.
