Jewawut/jewel (Setaria italica)

Millet plants are very tolerant of drought, and are able to adapt well to infertile areas. Therefore, at present the millet is still widely cultivated by people in arid climates, even in the dry season. But along with the tendency of people to consume rice or rice as a staple food, then the jeweler is increasingly abandoned. Jewels are no longer consumed as staple food, but have become an alternative food. This plant is still cultivated by the community, but is intended as poultry feed.
