Honesty is a lonely road because when you're open and honest about your feelings, people prefer to avoid you because they can't take it. Because they couldn't care less if they were famous or not, honest people dislike being in the spotlight. Why should they care if you like them or not?
If you're honest about things, you'll damage people's feelings regularly, whether you like it or not, but if you try to stop being honest, you won't feel good about it, so you'll start keeping quiet about it.
Individuals tend to think you're hiding something when you're silent, which honest people don't do. They keep quiet because they realize the other person doesn't benefit from their honesty, so why should they speak?
That is why, as you become older, you tend to keep actual friends and don't mix real and brutally honest buddies with your regular friends. Many people do not comprehend this, as when someone asked me the other day if I had any friends. I replied yes, but I won't allow you to meet or speak with them because they would be offended if I did.
Being honest has gotten me into a lot of trouble, but I couldn't care less. Accept the truth or don't be my buddy at all.
