Summer Salad for @knowledge-seeker´s Homesteading Meals Photography Contest, RECIPE

Homesteading Recipes

It is so great to eat healthy, but even better is to eat the food that your own hands have grown. It is such an empowering feeling! So, as an entry to @knowledge-seeker´s Homestead Photography Contest I wanted to share with you all a salad from lunch following the contest theme ¨Homestead Meals¨

Photos taken with a Samsung mobile device. All photos are in their original state, no editing has been used. Call it The Mobile Camera Experiment. Or I could just be lazy...yeah, probably that one.

The tomatoes, cucumbers and bell peppers were all grown on our land and the rest comes from the local co-op market. This is the BEST time of year to get fruits and veggies from them.

Ingredients:

lettuce
tomatoes
cucumber
grapes
radishes
bell pepper
corn

Instructions:

Chop all the ingredients (amounts as you desire) and toss with a light vinaigrette (apple cider vinegar and oil with salt, sugar (to counter the acid in the tomatoes, we have trouble digesting them without heartburn), dill, and black pepper). Enjoy! A note, this is much better with grated parmesan cheese and your choice of nuts but I couldn´t be bothered with it all today.
