Wazzup Hivers!
Time flies so fast and I didn't realize that I'm already 27 years old
Yeah! I am one of the February Babies, they said February celebrants are special but for me, that's a piece of sh*t because there's nothing special about this month except that I received some Tikoy due to Chinese New Year lol! I also hate February because of this shitty "Valentine's Day"
sorry for those shitty words but I'm not bitter tho HAHAHA.
One thing is for sure, February celebrants are sensitive and emotional I have a lot of friends with the same birth month and all of them are sensitive that's the only accurate information about us, February Babies.
I'm not a person who loves to celebrate birthdays, I'm not too fond of the idea of celebrating it, it feels like I'm just wasting my time, effort, and energy, just want it to be a normal day.
But this time, I will celebrate it by treating myself outside, and at the same time I want my Birthday to be productive.
I woke up early and started my day with a workout.
I do have a regular workout at least 2-3 times a day aside from being healthy and in good shape working out helps me to reduce anxiety, stress, and overthinking.
Leg day for today I hate leg workouts, to be honest. It is so exhausting, tiring, and painful also all leg exercises are tough to execute but bro shouldn't skip leg day I don't want to be an android tho HAHAHA
After working out, I went to the Church near our place St. Anthony of Padua. I think this Church is ancient, my Father told me that before I was born this was already constructed I've been baptized in this church as well, and I can say that I have a lot of memories in this chapel.
I went inside and bought a candle to lighten up while praying.
I thanked God for another year that he gave, and also for guidance and forgiveness.
In the afternoon, I was planning to use the voucher that my officemates gave to me as a birthday present anyway, they bought me a 4hrs entry pass to Ace Water Spa. Along the way, I saw a food park in the Greenfield district in Mandaluyong, and since I was quite starving I dropped by for a minute to grab some food and enjoy the vibe.
There were a lot of food stalls and I couldn't pick easily and it comes with different varieties and cuisines.
All of them looked delicious and drooling but I ended up with Nachos, Calamares, and Kwek-Kwek.
I picked a good spot where I could eat those foodies and fortunately, I saw the best one after a few minutes of eating the performer started to sing and play a song, they were good in instruments plus a talented vocal which made the night more alive, I'm so lucky today a free food park and a band lol.
I explored some stalls to see what they had and I saw a different food that I'd never seen.
This one is new to me, I barely see strawberries and to be honest I never had a chance to know what it tastes like, so out of curiosity and my eagerness to finally eat strawberries I ordered 1 stick.
They added some sugar that melted using a pan and poured it into strawberries, I thought it tasted horrible but it's not! It is good! The sweetness and sourness will stay on your tongue for a minute enough to satisfy your cravings for sweets.
This day is so remarkable cause finally! I've eaten strawberries after 27 years, Jeez! I'm so proud of myself! HAHAHA
I arrived at Ace Hotel at 6 PM and was kinda excited to try this activity it was my first time so I didn't have any idea that's why I listed up all my questions in my mind and asked the lobby glad that the receptionist was approachable.
Upon presenting the voucher they gave me the key to my locker and a head cap the only problem was that I forgot my swim shirt lol.
Men's lockers were located on the 2nd floor no phone was allowed once you got in anyway, and you needed to bring your swimwear as well, the attendant would explain the rules and regulations.
Here's my locker number
I immediately ran to the shower room and took a bath and the only thing that we needed to bring was the head cap and our key, Unfortunately taking photos inside the water spa is prohibited.
Since no cameras are allowed let me share with you some screenshots that I've snipped from the internet.
Credits to Trip Advisor this is how it looks like inside.
Attractions are:
- Water Spa (Soft, moderate, and Hard)
- Olympic pool (4.5 Ft)
- Cold Pool
- Wet & Dry Saunas
- Hot Herbal pools
and there's a pool for your kids to enjoy.
I tried all of them from soft water spas up to the hard ones.
there's a timer in each water massage and the pool is quite spacious so you don't have to worry about it.
The Olympic pool is also challenging, anyone can use it I just try 2 laps cause it is quite extensive and besides, my goal is to relax not to exhaust my body. HAHAHA
The cold pool is truly freezing and I like it somehow, It is perfect after a minute of staying in Saunas.
There's a Hot pool too, four hot pools to be exact and each pool has different flavors and temperatures the highest one is 40℃ while 36℃ for the lowest, and my favorite among these hot pools is the hottest one. The 40-degree Hot Lavender peppermint pool, the smell of it is pretty good it suddenly heals my body pain, and I feel relieved.
I spent a lot of time in the water spa that I almost forgot that my voucher was only valid for 4 hours lol. I took a final shower and packed up my things
A stolen mirror shot cause the attendant is busy. Haha, my bad!
I don't know why but after this Hydro water spa I feel so light and relieved. The discomfort, soreness, and pain that I've been enduring for a long time suddenly vanished I feel rejuvenated and relaxed!
I will return to this place for sure.
I was about to go home but I felt so hungry, that activity was no joke it took all the carbs that I'd eaten in the afternoon glad that I saw a Korean restaurant along the way and they offered affordable Samgyupsal.
There are a lot of customers inside maybe they have good quality food imagine for only 199 you can have unlimited servings of Samgyup I think that's the reason why there's a bunch of customers.
I like the food that they served the quality of the meat is also good plus all the staff are accommodating, my stomach is about to explode this restaurant is worth more than its price.
I arrived home at 11 PM, This is my day and I enjoy it so much.
I am thankful for this day a plus 1 at my age is equivalent to plenty of experiences for my well-being.
Before I end this blog, I want to say thank you to Galartsy for the gift.
Finally, I received my dream sneaker the "Starry Night Van Gogh" inspired shoe.
I've been eyeing this sneaker for a long time and I'm so happy to have this.
this is the best gift ever! :D
All in all! I have a lot of fun I've experienced the food and things that I've never done in my entire life.
I thank God for everything and thank you guys for reading 🥺
See you in my next blog :)
Mooon out! 🤙
