Today marks the start of our second week and we after a weekend of interstellar debauchery, we are re-entering Earth's atmosphere with protonic energy. That's a little physics joke that the humanoids on Gliese 667Cc taught us while mainlining lagers a few weeks back. When they have a positive experience they say essentially what translates to "Protonic". It's not become a part of our regular galactic-pub vocabulary. And yes, when someone is being whiney or negative they call them Neutronic. Literally pissed myself laughing last week when our guide Djibck called his mate a "neutronic nunce" when he was crying about his partner. The Gliesians are a funny lot! 🤣
So while not much seems to have changed here on Earth since we rocketed off on Friday night, we're hoping that this protonic vibe that we have this week will translate into some fire. Last week we were talking with a few of you about making a song inspired by Hive, and we can say that there is already progress on that front. Normally when we entering hyper-spacial speeds, the mind has a tendency to wander. Not sure how many of you have had the privilege of such an experience yet, but the first time you feel like your brain liquifies and oozes out of your pores. And while at first it's quite disorienting, as times goes on you start to learn to harness the experiences for creative purposes (or to purge yourself from the excess "fun" you had in one of the dives on Kepler-452b). So much to our surprise, while our brains were dissolving into mush, the first chords and movements for a song about Hive came. What a moment to receive such an inspiration!
So what's our plan for this week? To finish the song! Right now we have begun arranging the track and slowly sketching out some lyrics and structure. But in addition to this, there is another pressing matter which we must attend to, the creation of our next batch of Beer: Moon Juice and Lambo Oil. You think that these cosmic journeys to far away galaxies is just about having fun? No no no, we are also always on the hunt for flavors. Earthlings have stepped up the beer game since the start of the Millennium. It doesn't all taste like watered down Tauntaun piss anymore. And we must say that to have witnessed the maturation of the pallet in such a way is exciting to say the least. Thus, we have been scourging the galaxy for new ingredients for our home brew recipes and we are ready to make our next concoctions starting this week.
Before the week is finished, we also want to sketch out the plans for our website and marketing plans. Something we'd love to start a dialogue with all of you about is what you see as the future of the decentralized music and social media space. You see, right now, to reach a lot of people with your music, it's hard to do such a thing without uploading it to a centralized platform, and we are trying to avoid that at all costs. Our goal? To prove that even on Earth, artists and businesses can build a sustainable business using decentralized protocols, media and economics. But in order to do this, we will need to pick the right outlets and projects. The entire space is still very fresh, yet somehow feels crowded. Much like the uphill battles still faced here on HIVE, there will be a lot of competition for the best projects and only those with strength of community (and tech), will be worthy. Thus, as we build all of the essential profiles, website/shop and investments that a modern day galactic artist will need, we would love to have your guidance along the way. The Moon-Line remains open at all times for suggestions, so please holla-at your MoonBois.
For now we wish you a beautiful week. We are optimistic about February, so we raise our glasses to all of you here on Hive and wish you a month of success.
