My vision started on STEEM way back in 2017, I imagined a future where blockchain and video gaming merged into one world where more ownership and control goes to the player. It's been awesome so far we've actually seen that come to reality with games created on the blockchain already and better yet made on the STEEM blockchain. Those games that I have played include Splinterlands and NextColony, in these games you have ownership of the trading cards and the virtual goods and those are backed by the blockchain. There are other games too but I have not ventured far as to have tried them all yet.
Unfortunately as of late there has been a force unwelcome to the STEEM community that has pushed me away from them to here, the HIVE blockchain, which I hope will become my new home and community for a decentralized vision.
Continuing to my background story, it actually began many years ago when me and my grade school friends played a video game called Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
Me and my buddies became fascinated with building new characters quickly and making them strong PVP characters to battle other players online and "to be the best!", there was such a large community and demand for strong items that third party websites popped up to help players facilitate safe trading so it was easier and scam free for players to fine-tune their builds. One of the popular websites and one that still exists to this day is called d2jsp.org

On this website people trade virtual goods for 'forum gold' and vis versa, some of the strongest items could be found on this website. Til this day this websites exist to help facilitate trade for games such as Path of Exile, and that community is thriving and strong too. I think this is what molded my idea that virtual goods will eventually be backed by blockchain and virtual currency in video games will be more accepted in the gaming community.
Another game I play is Pendoria. Pendoria is a PBBG (Persistent Browser Based Game), which is mostly text and browser based and have marketplace and economies where players trade from one PBBG to another to get stronger. Many PBBG players use d2jsp to do some trades as well.
This is just an introduction but I plan on blogging more on Hive about all of these games and new ones in the future. I have a good feeling about this community and that we are onto something special.
