My introduction @emimoron

Hello friends of Hive HomeEdders I'm @emimoron a few days ago I published a post about what every parent should know to carry out their wonderful mission of forming another person, remembering that children are a loan and that at some point they will leave our side. I was so motivated by what I read and saw on the wall of this community that I wrote my post and published it but I didn't introduce myself and I apologise so this time I will tell you a little about myself.

I am a teacher, counsellor, educational pastoral coordinator, human rights defender and women's advocate for a life free of violence on equal terms. I am a lover of nature, freedom, justice, values and I especially focus my life on doing everything I do with love. I care for and respect animals and my favourite place is the sea. I even live in Venezuela a country of beautiful beaches, my home is in the World Heritage City of Santa Ana de Coro in the state of Falcon where I am surrounded by beautiful beaches and lots of coastline to enjoy.

I have been working for 18 years in a national university in my state where I am a permanent lecturer in the department of linguistics, specialising in the area of communication, language and literature. I am also a counselling teacher in a Catholic school. Throughout my career I have taken courses in counselling and pedagogy, in addition to my religious pastoral training. All this has allowed me for eleven years now to deal with the subject of the family in talks, courses and workshops in a programme called Escuela para Padres, where fathers and mothers have a space to grow, be trained and share experiences that allow them to strengthen themselves for the education of their children.

Another of my jobs is in the Ministry of Women's Affairs through which I give talks, courses, workshops and conferences against gender violence and for the right of women to a dignified life on equal terms. In this sense, I am a member of the women's ombudspersons and of the regional federal council for women's equality. I love my work because I feel that it is a way of collaborating in the elimination of this global problem that affects women, violence, which not only affects women but also their children, the family and society as a whole.

In the midst of all the difficulties our country is going through, I stand up for family, children and a harmonious life. I try to help through the church in which I live, once a month I organise donation campaigns together with my family so that the youngest members of the family understand the value of helping a brother in need. Today many Venezuelans are in the middle of a really hard situation but we are still here in our country fighting and as long as I can help until the last of my days I will do it. I trust in Education as a tool and a transforming force that will make this world a better place.

For me, the pandemic must be a scenario that allows us to change our way of life for good. We were killing the planet and one way or another we had to learn the lesson. The pandemic is an opportunity that has made a lot of people to empathise with their families, to value moments more than material things. Today we finally understand that life is priceless and all our treasures are free.

Love, defend and protect your family, because when the door closes and the party is over, they are the ones who stay with you in good times and bad.

This is me, well a bit I guess. If you have any doubts or questions you can leave them in the comments and I'll be attentive to answer you. Thanks to HomeEdders for creating this wonderful family space to grow up in.
