The tenacity and intelligence of a dog.

He failed at first, but then swam outside the strong stream.

His ball was in the water and no way was he going to let the river take his ball.

It rained overnight and the mountain stream was cold and flowing strong.

But that was not going to stop him from getting his ball, as he grabbed it here.

On his return he swam across the stream, using the water's force to drive him back to the river bank.

Happily he showed his mate the great prize.

His mate turned to come and say thank you to Marian for her applause.

It was great to see how the dog outwitted the strength of the water's force by changing his lane to swim up next to it. And then as he swung around after grabbing his ball, he had the wit to use the force to drive him back.
Reminded me of the time that I was stuck in a canoe on a flooded river and after battling to row with my tired arms lame, the idea came to me to stick the end of the oar into the water and to use it like a rudder to steer the canoe aided by the water's strong flow to the river's bank.
This dog beat the river's strength today.

The lesson today is not to fight against a strength, but rather to use it to one's benefit.

And That's All Friends.
