INTRODUCING OUR BABIES TO THIS LOVELY COMMUNITY

Hello everyone! How are you and your babies doing? I could not contain the excitement I felt when I came across this Hive Pets community, a community, our babies belong! As proud parents, my husband and I hope for our family to be accepted here. We would love to share our daily activities, adventures, grooming tips, and so much more!

In the photo are Tyty, Gus, Cali, Tris, Chichi, and Knight. Can you guess who's who? Find out in our future posts.

Our babies are from the goldfish family, and they are specifically called ranchus. Ranchus are characterized by their egg-like shapes, absence of dorsal fin, and their maximum cuteness. Their breed originated from China and then developed in Japan. At present, for us, Thailand leads in exporting quality ranchus worldwide. With that being said, most of our ranchus are from Thailand. Although we also have the ones from China and Indonesia.

Like beginner parents, we had our share of struggles too. Our first few months were full of research about their home, foods, filtration, and just anything to keep them alive. However, despite all those, we still lost a few of our babies. One was due to an unknown reason, and one was because of our negligence as parents.

This was them when they were still complete. We had to stack the ranchus in that tiny aquarium because we were fixing the other one. Upon seeing how cute they looked like being together, we kept it that way despite knowing it was unhealthy for them to be overstacked. Their cuteness blinded us, and they suffered later on.

The giant red(in goldfish, they are called red even their color is orange) one was named Say. We lost her. Sorry baby Say. :(

The black and white one was named Maja. We lost her too. :(

If we can turn back the time, we would never risk losing any of them just because they looked cute together in one tank. What's wrong remains wrong. It was so irresponsible of us as parents. Nonetheless, what's done can't be undone. We just promised to be better parents and noted our mistakes so other fish parents could avoid those. We even have our journey with them on our YT Channel called Nam-John TV.

It has been seven months since we lost two of our babies. And since then, we have not lost any. We have discovered better ways to care, feed, and maintain water quality. With those, they looked happier, healthier, and bigger!

Meet Tris! She's the goofiest of them all! She loves to splash water when you get close to her!

Never without Tris because she loves to get close to people. HAHA. With her is Chichi, above Tris and Cali, the photobomber.

We hope to share more of our babies with you all. For now, that is all about them. We also look forward to learning about your babies especially that my husband and I have decided to be fur parents real soon! Don't worry. No more silly mistakes this time. hehe.

Ciao everyone!

Love,
Nam and John
