Caturday! My First Time Participating...

Caturday_01.jpeg

Ah, there's nothing like a surge in the value of Hive to remind me that I haven't been posting nearly enough... so what better way to ease back into a regular posting habit than participating in one of the oldest, simplest, and most fundamental functions of the internet... sharing cat pictures!

Here's a fresh picture of my boys, Kirby and Kubert.

I've settled into a convention of naming my cats after famous comic creators, so these fluffballs are named after Jack Kirby and Joe Kubert. Since not many people know of these fine artists, it's pretty common that they assume my boys are named after the video game characters of Kirby and Q-bert. I certainly don't mind this assumption. It's particularly fitting for Kubert as both he and Q-bert are fuzzy little orange things that jump around and have a penchant for profanity. (Okay, so Kubert doesn't actually curse... but I can tell that's what he's thinking... that little boy has got an attitude!)

Kubert is just a kitten, a rescue that I've had for just over two months now. He is a handful and I must admit I've found myself Googling the question, "When the hell do kittens calm down!" He's already growing like a weed with long legs and a much leaner face than just a handful of weeks ago!

Look at that little killer adorably mauling his toy mouse!

Kirby is older and doing his best to adjust to the presence of this rambunctious little brother. I know that Kirby actually adores other cats, so I'm hopeful that as Kubert ages and calms down the two will develop a closer relationship.

Kirby is the sweetest boy, never any trouble. (I hope that rubs off on Kubert...) When it looks like Kirby is quietly judging me I simply have to accept it because one look at how handsome he is just confirms that he is in fact better than me and I must accept his disdain. 😆

So that's my little fur family at a glance. (They're actually forcing me to write this post as they want more Hive rewards to spend on catnip and kibble. If you don't hear from me again within a week, assume that I am their captive and they're slowly torturing me for all my passwords and private keys. However, if any harm should befall me let it be known they are not to be punished in any way! They're just too damn cute. I fully sanction their evil deeds.)
