Grocery Day for Elyu Trip

Hey! It's been a month since our last post. We've been incredibly busy since December, and here we are again, swamped with blog ideas. How are you all doing, hive peeps? We haven't shared anything here in December; the holiday season kept us occupied with numerous agendas, hahaha.

With some of us working and others still studying, it's not easy to take time off from work and school. That's why we took advantage of the weekends and the Monday holiday to head back to La Union.😄

No trip to La Union would be complete without good food! Hahaha, so on Friday, we went to the supermarket – right here at Market! Market! in Taguig City. We're afraid of going hungry during the trip, charot! Hahaha! That's why we chose this market since it's close to our homes making it convenient for us to prepare everything we need for the trip..

Of course, before heading to the grocery, we took some time to plan our meals for the 4 days and 3 nights haay. It's quite challenging to decide what to eat, right? It's like your mind goes blank due to the overwhelming excitement, hahaha. That's why we lingered in the grocery store because, for every aisle, we made sure to explore thoroughly so that we wouldn't miss anything we needed to buy.

If you notice, we mostly got snacks, hahaha, because Ange and I tend to get hungry at night and often watch movies before going to sleep. Binge-watching, you know! Hahaha, that's why our cart ended up quite full.

We weren't the only ones going to La Union, so it was a given that we bought a lot. We also asked our companions through messenger so that we could buy for them as well. 🤣

It would have been delicious to get this, too, but there's no coffee machine or maker there, so we decided not to get it. Hahaha.

Ange and I had a bit of a challenge because of the size of this grocery store. There were still some products that weren't available here. So after shopping, we grabbed a ride home to drop off our groceries.

There, we ended up with quite a few plastic bags, hahaha, and it was getting late because it was already dinner time. We were worried that another grocery store might close before we could buy the remaining food and necessities with Ange.

Right after dropping off our groceries, we went to Unimec with Ange to buy the additional things we needed. Then, we headed to Watsons in Pateros to purchase sunscreen. It's really expensive! Hahaha, but we had no choice but to buy it because if we didn't use sunscreen, we might end up getting too tan in La Union, hahaha!

This is probably part of adulting now. Back when I was a kid, I used to be lazy to join grocery trips if I wouldn't be getting things I wanted. Hahaha, because aside from taking a long time, it felt like going in circles. But now, I find myself enjoying these things more. Hahaha.

Ange's background while she's waiting for me is just so cute. That's the difference when it's in night mode and when it's not. Anyways,Thank you for taking the time to read this! Until next time! More La Union trips, perhaps. Hehe. 😁
