I never ever say no to thrift shopping. May it be clothes, footwear, or even the surplus store that sells second hand furniture and home stuff.

I find so much joy being able to find good deals for a low price. Being able to go thriftshopping gives me an opportunity to buy goods which are of good quality for a very low price.

Lapu-lapu City Public Market in Lapu-lapu City, Philippines is home to a lot of thriftshops. Be it clothing, footwear or even furniture. But today, I will take you through my footwear thrifting experience.

The foot wear thriftshops in the middle of the Lapu-lapu City Public Market begins at 4:00 in the afternoon until 8:00 in the evening.

How to get here? If you are in Cebu City, the easiest way to come here in the Lapu-lapu City Public Market is to ride a ferry boat from Cebu City Pier 3 (Third Port) going here in the island of Lapu-lapu. Via car, you may want to use google map or waze for that.

The business owners start to display their prouducts in the market at approximately 4:00 in the afternoon until 8:00 pm in the evening everyday.

It is such a perfect time to go thrift shopping when the sun is already out and you can walk around with ease and enjoy looking around.

This is a combination of both class A prouducts and genuine ones. Most of the shoes they are selling are genuine ones, used but not abused.

First stall that caught my attention is this stall that sells secondhand sandals of all sort.

If you are planning on attending a party, attending a meeting, going out on a date, or just running casual errands, you might find the best sandal that fits your style.

All sandals are really nice and it is nothing above ₱500.00.

When going here in Lapu-lapu Market to thriftshop, might as well bring enough funds because for sure you might buy things you haven’t planned in the first place.

Thrift shopping for me is such a thrill, a surprise you could never tell whatever brand you will discover, and you might end up buying things more than you need.

The best thing I love most in thrift shopping especially with foot wear, I get to buy sandals which are unique, I will not run around with people with the same design as mine, every design is something else and it is really worth the thrifting.

Another good thing about thrift shopping is that given the cheap prices, you still have the chance to negotiate with the seller and get a discount. When the seller sets a sandal for ₱300.00, you can negotiate it and buy it for ₱270.00 and sometimes when the seller is in a good mood, ₱250.00.

It is really budget-friendly to go thrift shopping rather than buying it brand new in a department store. But it does not suit everyone, it still depends on your choice.

There are also class A Crocs which are of course obviously not the genuine ones, amounting to ₱180.00-₱250.00, you could get yourself a pair of Crocs.

For me, I have no issue with wearing fake ones, because the fake and the genuine ones look almost the same, but the prices are quite a leap. It would still depend on you. For me, I do not spend thousands just for a pair of footwear.

More and more sandals! What a beautiful thing to see. I really loved almost everything they sell but some of these does not fit me, I have a size 9-10 feet and it tends for me to get difficult finding the right size for me.

If you are a basketball player, an athlete, or merely just someone looking for some shoes, they also have a variety of rubber shoes sold here ranging from ₱100.00-₱1,500.00.

I remember we got some Nike shoes here before for ₱1,000 per pair and Anta shoes for ₱1,200. We did not regret buying from here because it may be second hand but it is genuine and we know the price difference when buying it brand new.

Check more of the stalls you can see here when footwear thrift shopping at Lapu-Lapu Market, Lapu-lapu City, Philippines.

I really enjoyed walking around and I got myself this pair of sandals which was priced at ₱300.00 but I got it for ₱270.00.
