Pink Kush harvested, Orange Apricot clone and Pineapple Express in bloom mode + Orange Barb and Apricot Kush seedlings

The Orange Apricot clone and Pineapple Express cannabis plants are in bloom mode, the Pink Kush was harvested. The Orange Barb and Apricot Kush seedlings are out of their seed shells and stretching their leaves.

Pink Kush harvested

After almost eight weeks of bloom the Pink Kush cannabis plant was harvested. This plant has a bushy structure and big bud genetics, they show in this grow.

I slowly started raising the lights each day, a few days before harvest, to get the buds to finish up, as they sensed the diminishing light. It seemed to work, even the new white pistils on the tall bud colas had started to shrivel.

The Pink Kush bud stalks were harvested a few days ago, and hung up to dry. First I trimmed the fan leaves, then I've been slowly trimming the tips of the bud leaves, these buds are sticky with a sweet grape scent to them. Four more days until sampling these buds, I'll do a full harvest post soon.

Orange Apricot clone

The Orange Apricot clone has been in bloom for a week now, pistil pairs had just started to appear last week, this week they have formed into little buds.

The leaves on the stalks have been growing larger, filling in the bent stalk plant structure. The tops of the stalks have been keeping decently level. You can see the two topped stalks in the front that grew two new stalks in the picture below, they each grew a little shorter and a little smaller then the non topped stalks.

Many new large white pistil pairs with their pods forming into buds, the buds are in position to push together and form into larger bud colas, the main stalk buds are extra aggressive with their growth. No sweet orange scent yet, trichomes are just barely starting to appear.

This Orange Apricot clone benefitted from the extra week of vegetative growth, I'm looking forward to seeing how the harvest stacks up compared to it's mother plant. Seven more weeks until harvest.

Pineapple Express

After six and a half weeks of vegetative growth, the Pineapple Express cannabis plant was put into bloom mode a few days ago. The LED grow lights are set to be on only twelve hours a day - this triggers the plant to go into bloom mode.

The LED grow lights are switched to the bloom mode, mostly red spectrum, specifically what the plant needs in bloom, as not to waste electricity.

In bloom mode the plant also has different nutrient needs, so I'll add bloom nutrient powder every other watering for six weeks. The last two weeks of bloom the plant will receive only water to flush out any excess nutrients, for a smoother smoke.

Pistil pairs will start to appear in the next week, as the plant shifts into bloom. Nine ore weeks until harvest for the Pineapple Express.

Orange Barb seedling

This Orange Barb seed popped ten days ago, after a couple days of soaking in water, it was them placed in a damp paper towel overnight for the tap root to grow longer.

The next day it was planted, four days later it popped up from the dirt. A nice pair of main leaves, this seedling is off to a good start, it will be another six weeks of vegetative growth before this plant gets put into bloom.

Apricot Kush seedling

This Apricot Kush seed I started soaking on the same day as the Orange Barb seed, this one was a little slower to pop open, an extra day.

IMG_20231016_211302_829.jpg

It was in the dirt by Oct 17, three days after going in the dirt, it was about to shed the shell and open it's leaves, the next day it did. A tiny pair of main leaves, this plant will get much bigger, atleast six weeks until this Apricot Kush seedling goes into bloom mode.
