The Pink Kush and Orange Apricot clone cannabis plants are in bloom, the Orange Apricot was harvested. The Pineapple Express plant will be put into bloom next, two new seeds are soaking and will be planted soon - Orange Barb and Apricot Kush.
Pink Kush
This Pink Kush cannabis plant has been in bloom for seven weeks, one more week until harvest. The colas are all formed up, they keep getting bigger as new white pistil pairs burst out the sides and top them.
There are plenty of bright orange, yellow, and new white pistils. Healthy dark green leaves, some have changed to purple with the cooler temperatures.
There's a solid coating of THC trichome covering the pistil pods, buds, and bud leaves. The buds have a sweet and dank fruity scent to them, these indica leaning buds will pack a nice punch to them.
A bushy plant, this Pink Kush seems like the most vigorous strain I've grown yet, hardy leaves with big bud structure - one week remaining until harvest.
Orange Apricot clone
The Orange Apricot clone was put into bloom mode last week, it just started showing female pistil pairs a couple days ago. This plant is officially in bloom, the harvest of these Orange Apricot buds will be eight weeks from now.
You can see the pistil pairs in the above photos, many more on the way. I've been keeping the lights a little higher than normal for this bloom, about eight inches from the top. This strain seems a little sensitive to intense lighting, I'll see if this distance will prevent premature leaf yellowing.
This plant had received bent main stalk training, you can see how the main stem was tied down to allow the branches to catch up in height. LED grow lights only have a couple feet of light penetration, so it's beneficial to have a shorter and bushier plant, to use the light more efficiently. Eight weeks until this Orange Apricot clone is ready for harvest.
Orange Apricot harvested
The original Orange Apricot was harvested a few days ago, it's been trimmed and laid out to dry. In a few more days I'll snip the buds off the stalks, weigh them, then put them in air tight containers for storing and curing. Candy-like sweet orange fruity scent, I'm looking forward to blazing these sticky buds, will do a full harvest post soon.
Pineapple Express
This Pineapple Express cannabis plant has had six weeks of vegetative growth time from seed, in one more week I'll put this plant into bloom.
This plant received bent stem training a couple weeks ago, the branches are all rising up together. Healthy looking wide indica leaning leaves, this plant has bushed out nicely and is laying low in wait for bloom time.
This plant should have a solid bud production with seven weeks of vegetative growth, it will be ready to take off when it gets put into bloom mode in one more week.
Orange Barb seed start
I started a couple new seeds soaking to replace the plants that I'm harvesting, and to keep the bud flow going. Orange Barb I've grown once before, a balanced strain, maybe slightly a sativa leaner - the mother of the Orange Apricot strain, a lower bud was pollinated with Pink Apricot pollen to make crossbred seeds. A vigorous grower, I topped it once and the branches all grew up quickly to the upper canopy. One feminized Orange Barb seed is soaking, the plant will be a bud producing female.
Apricot Kush seed start
This Apricot Kush seed is not feminized seed, the plant could turn out to be a bud producing female or a pollen producing male. One seed soaking, two seeds remain after this one, fingers crossed this one's a female.
The first and second attempts with this seed have turned out to be male, useful for pollen collection and crossbreeding, but now I'm ready for some buds to sample. Let's hope third time's a charm with this seed.
