Best Selling Albums Series: Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV #11 | Rising Star Giveaway - Reward 10000 Starbits (Ends 4 November UTC)

The untitled fourth studio album by English rock band Led Zeppelin was released on 8 November 1971 by Atlantic Records. The band's previous album, Led Zeppelin III, received positive reviews from critics, and although their fourth album was released untitled, it is known as Led Zeppelin IV. The album was produced by Guitarist James Patrick Page and recorded between December 1970 and February 1971, mostly in the country house Headley Grange.

The title of this album is quite interesting. Instead of a title, Jimmy Page decided that each member would choose a personal emblem for the cover. Although a single symbol was initially considered, it was later decided that there could be four, and each member of the band chose their own symbol.

The informal recording environment inspired the band, allowing them to experiment with different arrangements of material and create songs in a variety of styles. Unlike the previous two albums, the band was joined by some guest musicians, such as vocalist Sandy Denny on "The Battle of Evermore" and pianist Ian Stewart on "Rock and Roll". As with previous albums, most of the material on this album was written by the band.

The album Led Zeppelin IV was a significant commercial and critical success and became Led Zeppelin's best-selling album, selling over 37 million copies worldwide. Additionally, the album is one of the best-selling albums in the US, and critics have regularly placed it high on lists of the greatest albums of all time. Additionally, in 2010, Led Zeppelin IV was one of ten classic album covers by British artists commemorated on a UK postage stamp issued by Royal Mail.

Led Zeppelin IV album was deemed worthy of many accolades, especially "The 100 Greatest Albums Ever Made" and "Grammy Hall of Fame Award". Led Zeppelin IV has sold over 37 million copies and is now the 11th best-selling album of all time.

Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven

There are great songs on the album, but my favorite song is "Stairway to Heaven". “Stairway to Heaven” is one of the first songs that come to mind when it comes to rock music. In my opinion, it is arguably the most famous rock song in history, I feel like I'm transported to a mystical place every time I listen to this song, eight minutes of epic tones and the sounds of the recorder are truly amazing.

And my spirit is crying for leaving
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who stand looking

Truly a great work and a stunning song.
