Another day, another top 5 from me. Today we'll look at the top 5 power forwards in the league. This position is filled with guys who dominate the offensive end of the floor and can often stretch to guard all positions on the floor.
Honorable mentions: Tobias Harris, John Collins, Chris Boucher.
5. Domantas Sabonis
I used to make fun of this guy because I thought he kind of stunk, but boy did I turn out to be wrong. He was averaging over 20 points and 12 rebounds a game from the 4 and was one of the best finishers on his squad in late game situations. Sabonis has a lot of good movment for a bigger guy and will be a dangerous player when paired with a solid guard like a healthy Brogdon.
4. Zion Williamson
Everyone knows about this guy. He's come into the league and started dominating right away even with intense minutes restrictions holding him back from playing a lot. If he misses a shot, he is often the guy bringing down the rebound and scoring on his second attempt. When Zion gets healthy we'll be seeing a lot of him in the playoffs, and with the media's obsession with him, you'll see every single highlight possible.
3. Anthony Davis
AD has never been one of my favorite guys, I actually don't like him at all. With that being said, this guy can really shoot the ball for a 7 footer, something that will be desperately needed on that Lakers squad. If he would figure out how to get a rebound, he'd be higher on this list, but for now 3 is his ceiling in this position.
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo
This guy is a 2 time MVP and recent finals MVP. He seems like a genuinely cool dude and is almost impossible to stop when running the floor. The only thing holding Giannis back from being the most dominant force in the league is that you can foul him at any point and he'll probably miss the free throws. I hope to see him improve on that so he can be one of the greatest to ever play the game.
1. Kevin Durant
Pretty much the opposite of Giannis, KD never misses a shot. This guy is automatic from anywhere on the floor. It is really unfair that he will be playing alongside Kyrie and Harden this year. There is no excuse except a hot shooting streak from the Lakers to keep this squad from winning the championship this year. KD is too good at basketball...
